I already have to upload my real ID and had to hop on a video call to show my face + ID for one bank.

We still haven't made AGI, so I don't understand what he's saying they did.

I was considering buying a mini Mac, but there wasn't a way to encrypt it fully with Veracrypt and in the case of Francis Rawls the feds got pass Apples vault encryption. With the recent iPhone notification storage revelation I don't trust Apple at all.

Sounds like an intentional government feature. Just speculation though. I'm glad I have a Pixel, but I'm on the default OS and need to switch to GrapiousOS (secure version). Just haven't due to lack of nice Google features.

I trust the chrome sandbox and security more than a desktop or phone app.

It's used for piracy a lot still.

There's not any incentives to pay you when they're in China and there's no legal recourse from the US. Even in the US suing is often times not worth it economically and getting someone to pay after a win is painful too if they don't just file bankruptcy. Escrow or upfront only is the best way to go.

So I pay for Global Entry only to have to play for Clear for faster screening. Now I have to pay another fee for a different service to get thru it faster AGAIN. I'm tired of the pay to win situation.

Not surprising as email providers like Yahoo's security are a joke. A former CIA director got his personal emailed pwned as well.

If you login, log out they don't prompt you with the security warning on Android TV.

I tried this in college, but just got ignored or brushed off.

They're back to 6,000 not 5,000.

Boundaries don't exist really in tech and especially with emails. I just filter out spam and block a good bit. People just ignore stuff now a days even people saying hi passing someone in the street (which I stopped doing)? My colleges spam filter catches a lot of them. Your email is presumably already in data dumps.

It'd be nice to have drivers for newer Mac's for a better Asahi Linux experience. Good use of AI imo.

If I was someone on the run, then I would just get a fake license plate. They record plates on the interstates as well. Also, they have cameras and presumably can alert of a certain make and model + color car trailer on AI near a last seen area. Only way to bypass that is by swapping cars or getting a really generic popular car.

I still believe in Cameras. I have a comma.ai 3x and it works really well. Just get a thermal camera to deal with fog etc. Waymo has some of the same limitations with cameras that Comma and Tesla does.

Hence why Illinois has already mame it illegal.

For a smaller display, have you tried the reMarkable 2? Also, perhaps buying an anti glare oled monitor with high brightness and nits (e.g. LG G4 brightness) would help with the price issue.

Sounds like they were bluffing and trying to coerce the researcher in to signing an NDA. I wouldn't of signed and they wouldn't have reach in the US and presumably Germany where the researched is based. Also, I'm glad the affected vendor isn't DAN.
