First of all, thanks a ton for the feedback! I see I probably need to make some improvements to the app, asap, like a simple tutorial.

If you want more images of a place when in swipe mode, you can tap the right side of the card. You can also tap the distance thingy in the top right corner to view it in Google Maps. And if you tap the heart/cross, you see the next place(s). When having made some selections, you end up with a list. Hopefully that makes the decision process easier for some - At least it does it for my part.

When knowing both of these things, for me, having used the app myself, I have found some amazing places to eat using it. But I see that it doesn´t provide value for all. You´re partially right about the vibe coding as well. Coded everything by hand a year ago, but finished it using AI, for sure. :D

Anyway, this probably isn´t for everybody, I think, but for people used to this pattern (tapping the card to see more pictures), I hope it brings more value than a picture of the outside of a place.

Thanks! Totally agree with you here. We actually made the POC of this product in two days a year ago. And while finishing it enough to be able to launch (which as usual took way too long), we´ve been using it within so many different cities we have travelled to. It really makes it easy to spot which places that are interesting to visit, and images really speak so much louder than anything.

Future improvements might indeed be to further improve the listings with extended informations such as user reviews and dietary filters. Also thinking about ways to raffine the search results by utilizing AI for things like providing a summary over the results you are left with after some swiping. Perhaps also some agent option(s) to easier be able do stuff like booking a table - Who knows. But first of all, this was great fun to make, and something I wanted as a travel companion for myself. So hoping other people might enjoy it as well. Again, thanks for you feedback! :-)

Great! Lat/lng would of course be best implemented if kind of accurate. Ipinfo.io seems to do this quite well. I would happily use this to detect if somebody tries to spoof the info provided from window.gelocation.get/watch, whic is pretty sweet to utilize for anything that relates to maps. :)

Cool stuff. Adding lat/lng to the dataset as well would be nice as well. Alternatively a lat/lng that can be associated to the country can be an idea. For example by using something like https://developers.google.com/public-data/docs/canonical/cou...

I´ve checked localmind out, and will for sure have a look at Circle. There´s also Findery, Pindrop and Banjo. Plus, you have this connect-them-all application for iOS called Localscope. There´s so much inspiration and great thinking within many of these apps.

However, none of them works exactly the way round.io does, and I still haven´t seen any service yet that does it. So we hope people will enjoy using it once we get to a more finished state.

Actually, "Explore your surroundings" was our headline a few weeks ago. However, this headline tend to change quite often, as the ideas flow along. I guess you´re right, though. The exploration part of the app is what we want to grow, and is probhably a very good thing to focus on. So I guess in future iterations, this will probhably be focused on some more.

1. Facebook login/signup will come. 2. Agreed! This will for sure be a top priority for us to achieve.

We´re for sure working on a pitch to make strengths and highlights stand out. We´ll probhably need some iterations to get to the point we want to be. :-)

I can´t see why your username should not be valid, I´ll put that in the todo-list. It sure should be a valid username to pick.

As mentioned, the facebook posts are redirected to home page because you´re not logged in. We´ll change this once we go out of the experimental phase, which are kind of the state the project is in right now.

Also, we´re the majority of the norwegian population at round.io at the moment, yes. ;-)
