Binocular vision is not only relevant for driving (well, maybe for the steering wheel, but that's not the point).
Frankly, at the beginning? Anything you feel like. You can start, perhaps, with Just a title of what you're doing, pomodoros style.
Maybe a note of something you thought but couldn't follow up on that moment.
Diagrams are good. Much easier to think and much better and faster doing by hand. I always get distracted by the tool when I'm drawing in a computer. Even artist-modd

And I'll add that it in practice it is not even that much unless you're doing some serious training, like a professional athlete. For most tasks, the accurate depth perception from this fades around the length of the arms.

And yes, they get to recover the copper, at the very least to make treatment easier for discarding (copper is a very bad pollutant). But not only there's a cost, this is dealt with by waste treatment companies that will at most use the copper value to recoup some of the cost of the treatment.
Well, you may not have to worry, but if you have large unpoured areas on a design with a professional PCB manufacturer (of the traditional, high-touch kind), they will ask if you want to pour some copper there. Reason being that it makes the process faster, more consistent and reduce possible side-etching on lanes. It may not a make a difference in most cases, but you may just save some time and effort by doing this.

Oh, yes. Hardware products and projects, specially those complex enough to need an FPGA, will usually have a long development pipeline and even one year seems pretty short.
And you can very often prototype with either an overpowered development board or you own prototype board with another FPGA, and then downsize appropriately as the project advances. Most importantly, if you know there will be a viable version in a year, you can postpone the final decision and Xilinx get to avoid having you choosing Altera now if it's possible that their new offering will match your project.
I live in a single-family unit in Uptown and would be surprised if my rate is anywhere below 95%, I'd be shocked and demand a recount. I order several times a week, often several times a day (yeah, a lot of items I need are same-day delivery, most are next-day), and I recall two or three packages missing this year. And those were likely never delivered of to the wrong address, as they had no picture.
I'm not an industry analyst, but the packaging issue seems a bit overblown.
Yes, packaging for this kind of high density design as an iPhone is very specialized, but it does not contain the precious IP and the security concerns it carries.
Also, iPhones and any costumer electronics at this level of complexity and scale will be assembled in China for the foreseeable future, and this is more like a stop in the middle of a journey than a round-trip.
Maybe this website is too Apple-focused, or maybe I'm missing something, but "older" technology makes the bulk of the ICs manufactured and is much more strategic than the latest Instagram filter accelerator processor. Maybe by value bleeding-edge nodes are bigger, but by volume they are not even close.
By the way, I won't miss if my car comes without infotainment with the latest GPU, but I surely hope the ABS processors are there. Or even the shitty microcontroller that every single button seems to hide nowadays.
And for most applications that do not require incredibly high density, there are plenty of packaging plants in the US (I google and got this [1] as a first result. Sorry, not an analyst). And even the advanced packaging seems to be getting attention that this article does not acknowledge [2].

Long time since I last used it for complex board (life is weird), but the way I do it is to crossselect the part from the schematic. I remember earlier versions used a local socket between the layout and schematic tools to allow for that.
Really indispensable. Not sure how the current feature works, but for things like power supply capacitors that are electrically connected to tons of ICs and pins but logically belong to one specific pin, I can't think of a better approach.
When you're making a return, Amazon has a field that allows you to say that the product delivered does not match the purchase (the wording is not quite that, and they have a few variants). I don't feel like there's a need for a chat if the form already allows me to say that and do not require sending any pictures. They could follow up if they felt the need, before issuing the return code.
Amazon has a bad process for these cases and seems not interested in fixing it.

Actually, here's a small contribution: I do not work with web apps or nowhere near this kind of development (yeah, I also wonder why I'm a regular at HN), or have a use to the end product, but the name and logo grabbed my attention enough to click the link, see the discussion and read the front page. There's power to clever branding.

They are fewer than the US, USSR and Japan, but they are very capable of operating advanced technology. Advanced technology, specially the most recent and in this case, safer, is held from these countries for reasons has little to do with fear of a significant chunk being uninhabitable for hundreds of years.

You seen to agree with him about the root of the exploitation problem, but GP is also right in that there are differences on how the institutions operate and how advanced they are in comparison to those of the past. These new institutions and techniques and dynamics require different tools for analysis.
