VAZ, the manufacturer who produced Ladas was/is situated on the Volga river, and based on my understanding (I lived in a city nearby), the word Lada came from word Lad'ya which is a type of ship that sailed on Volga river. At least that's how I remember it.

A lot of people at the time were likely first or second generation immigrants and the tyrannies of the "old world" were still experienced either first-hand or through the eyes of their parents and grandparents. I think, this, in a lot of ways, influenced the founding fathers. And similarly, I think this is why many immigrants in this country become successful people in the modern times.
I am too interested in this. It'd be a massive stack of 8949s.
Worked for my person email attached to my domain. I agree with others in that explaining how this works would be very nice.
Heartwarming story. That uniform was still in use several years after Soviet Union collapsed. The only thing that was missing was the poineer scarf. I have pictures of my "first bell" at school wearing the same uniform in 1992.
This is a great plan and what I personally did 10 years ago. Some states also have high school programs, like A+, upon completion of which your college experience becomes tuition-free as long as your GPA stays above a certain point average in college.
I agree. I think this technology needs smart roads to succeed, whatever this entails.
With all of the options he had he decided to move to ex-soviet republic... Let's see how long you'll manage to stay there before ludicrous levels of corruption at all levels of society start making expensive healthcare in the US seem insignificant in comparison. I say this as Ukrainian/Armenian who was born and lived in the USSR and seen my father, who's a brilliant engineer, stagnate in the professional culture that pushed him aside because of his ethnicity or because he became a threat to some old bastard who's been warming his seat for 40 years instead of retiring.
+1 for .NET. This'll be a killer thing for us!
There is a hypothesis that ADHD is a condition caused due to humans still evolving out of hunter-gatherer societies and those folks living with the condition retained the hunter characteristics/genetics. More on this here [1].

Some home improvement stores in the US, like Home Depot and Lowe's, will gladly take your old equipment upon delivery of new one, as long as it's of the same type. At least this has been my experience.
I don't know why you're getting downvoted. You can teach anybody to program, but they're still going to struggle if they don't know how to logically approach issues and software design tasks. I've seen people struggle and move on to other things because of this.
Very cool. This reminds me of the retirement tool I've seen in Betterment. The things you can do to earn more money or cut out of your daily spendings is super nice way to visualize some common ways to make or spend money.
I'd wager that Agriculture has eliminated more natural habitats than any population sprawl. I'm reminded of this every time I drive out of Colorado and into Kansas.
Wetlands and desert are hardly the same thing.
I tend to agree, but I am afraid we're just going to end up with another Wall Street here once major financial institutions put their hands on it.
Curious, how much of these scaling issues are due to limitations of blockchain tech rather than conventional exchange architecture. I feel like that would be a different area of expertise.
Both agree that there was "definitely something out there" with the Oakland Center controller saying the aircraft first appeared going southbound at high speed before executing an abrupt maneuver and then "took off northbound."
So what constitutes an abrupt maneuver and how many aircraft can make such radical change in direction while moving at full speed?
I've been using cointracking.info up until now, but this is just amazing. Great work! Will you be supporting Huobi in the near future? And can you add a "When Lambo" indicator next to each crypto asset?
The bit that I found interesting is when one of the witnesses (either Jay Clayton or Chris Giancarlo) mentioned that they tried to get their college-age kids to invest in stock market. Even gave them some cash to play around with but it just never caught on. Then Bitcoin exploded and they naturally gravitated to it. He could've taken this story into many directions, basically saying that the whole thing is madness because we have teenagers playing in this market. But he didn't. Instead it kind of sounded like he wanted everyone to embrace it... but still put regulations in place :)
Just a week ago I saw a guy pump and dump a random altcoin live on Twitter just to prove his "haters" that he doesn't leave his followers holding a bag when he does his scheduled PnDs. The level of arrogance is really astounding. Hell, all of the biggest bitconnect scammers with a following on YouTube have already moved on to shilling other lending platforms instead of just disappearing. Interesting to see this unravel and how long it can continue.
I've had an instance where the withdrawal to my wallet seemingly didn't even make it to a block on the chain. This happened on Coinbase and took over 2 weeks to resolve. With their non-existent support I pretty much considered that money lost until the whole thing finally got resolved. But I can definitely see somebody fat fingering the wallet address being one of the bigger reasons.
With South Korea trying to regulate anonymous trading on Korean exchanges, makes me wonder how long we have before regulations become more widespread. And if this happens do you think privacy coins even stand a chance?
I feel like this is more about confusing functionality and bad UI more than it is about LinkedIn being evil. Seems like you're on the global network search and you're applying a filter to remove everyone who's not your 1st degree connection. However, the search engine isn't smart enough to not apply the API limits in this case since you're technically only searching your own network. There is however a page that does what you want under My Network tab [1]

This is pretty unbelievable. And they're running an ICO right now.
Hard to believe that people watched this and still invested in this shitshow.
This is just my observation, but this is what you get when software is used in such critical situations and yet the entire software engineering/development field is completely non-standardized and practically the wild west. Again, this is my opinion, which I know a lot of people disagree with, but we're going to keep coming up against this kind of stuff until software developers become licensed and accountable for their designs.
I invest long-term into a couple of interesting projects and you're absolutely right. Most popular alt coins suffer from near daily pump and dumps and and a casual look at hourly charts will easily reveal this. I can't even imagine what a nightmare it is trying to do technical analysis and make sense of the market for those who day-trade cryptocurrencies.
1. Nothing is preposterous in crypto. 2. Yes, I said $5 is more reasonable.
I think the price of 1 XRP is going to be somewhere between $5 and $10, $5 being more reasonable. The time to buy in was when it was less than a cent and nobody believed it would go anywhere. On a sidenote, I believe Ripple is made primarily by banks and I think the idea was to make it as close to USD as possible. If this is in fact true, it obviously will be overvalued even at $5.
