This "experts say" type explaination might have worked back when publications pushing such a literary style explainations had credibility.

Replace the word Robinhood with S&P 500 and you have yourself a nice article explaining what happened 2 years from now.
Just because there's a lot of news of US police brutality and little or no news from [insert country]'s police brutality, that data point could just as well mean that the news are more robust in the US than that there's less of it in other countries.
The war propaganda from those outlets marked green is not at all factual.
Sounds like a call for the emperors new monarchy. Robin Hood "stole" back money that the monarchy had excessively taxed and "gave" it to the poor.
Taxes are derived from monarchy as well.
CICO implies equal weight to all foods, it's moronic. White sugar has less calories, 407 calories per 100 grams than peanuts have for example, 567 calories per 100 grams. Let's do an experiment, I'll eat 502 grams of peanuts per day (2835 calories) while you eat 700 grams of white sugar per day (2835 calories). Surely it will have the same effect according to CICO.
Were they 5 dried grams?
I think it failed not because of some wrong technical setup or fragmentation but because nerds generally don't care about the novice user experience, it's near the bottom of the list of priorities. For profit companies don't care either but are instantly rewarded for it financially so those that get it done increase their market share. It's a sad dilemma that I have no idea how or if it can be fixed because I would love not having to use a mac and use Linux as a desktop instead.
I have used Alan Watts guided meditation every other morning for 10 months now. It has changed my life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPpUNAFHgxM
"The Mind-Body problem doesn't exist. And it doesn't exist because it was demolished by Isaac Newton three centuries ago." - Noam Chomsky
I know where you're coming from. I had the same problem and it all got better when I learned to trust others and delegate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Qptyt0-S9U
Nope, this has been happening every year for the last 7 years. Great series though :)
Yes the best everyday example is when you start to think in another language that you have learned, you cant easily translate those thoughts in your native language. Here's an old TED talk related that has some examples and here's one quote from it:
"Two English scientists were doing an experiment to do with genetics, and the forelimbs and hindlimbs of animals but they couldn't get the results they wanted, they really didn't know what to do, until along came a German scientist, who realized they were using 2 words for forelimb and hindlimb, whereas genetics and does not differentiate, and neither does German. So, bingo, problem solved. If you can't think a thought, you are stuck. But if another language can think a thought, you can learn and achieve so much more."
Language affects our thought process, so therefore the fewer languages there are in the world the more monotone the thought process of the world. I'm not saying there's any chance of saving the languages, we will most definitely end up with only one language somewhere in the next 200 years, I'm just pointing out that there's something we'll lose along the way.
If you want to run a trust dependent system, just use a database. A database works quite well in most cases.
This is guaranteed to cause a banking system and currency meltdown in the long run, not to mention the negative effect of rampant malinvestment in the economy. Since banks everywhere are free to issue unlimited "Bank money" through credit cards and other means and have nothing holding them back except the risk of the ATM's being unable to service the demand for real currency. The lower the demand for real currency the more "Bank money" can be created. Now lets see with 0% demand for real currency how much "Bank money" will be created.
Macroeconomic changes take longer than just a few hours to have an impact. I included Glass-Steagall repeal because merely focusing on 1970's and nothing that happened there after is myopic
Financialization of the economy. The fall of Bretton-Woods. The fall of the gold standard. The repeal of Glass-Steagall.
Yes I understand that, but the power dynamic completely shifts when the powerful party shows interest. You might get yourself out of handcuffs by giving your or even a fake number if the powerful party is interested.
Not at all, until they express interest in you.
All those examples give you the same or more power over them.
You do realize that your argument also works flawlessly for Kim Jong-un in North Korea, right?
And then came Zuckerbergs Harvard commencement address. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmYv8XGl-YU
Basically poor Jacque was 40 years ahead of his time.
Not a single mention of the Euro? If it weren't a member of the Euro, Germany would be deindustrializing with a sky high Deutsche Mark.
Don't complain about the money and don't complain about my flawed illogical mock-up. But please, do take the blame in the end though, for my useless product.
I understand what you are going through, went through it myself when I was younger. The mistake I made regarding this was being defensive, don't lump all your family and friends into one pot and bark defensively at it. Never be defensive about this. Be proud of your product, ask them if they see any obvious errors with it, you might learn something because they are invested in helping you. They mostly care about you and don't know anything about putting a product to market. But anyway something might come out of it. And then for those in the bunch who are trying to make themselves look good on your account, just ask them if they plan to waste their entire life as their bosses bitch.
The bitcoin price up or down doesn't correlate with "bitcoin taking over the world". It could crash down to 0.5$ and still takeover more of the worlds transactions. What matters is this graph https://blockchain.info/charts/n-transactions?timespan=all
