This is so delightful!
As a medical student, I'm making a site of free tools for medical trainees, the biggest being a rank list tool to balance logical factors and gut ranking as well as pairwise comparisons/maps/etc. https://medcompass.tools/rankcompass. Might adapt to other avenues to help people pick housing and other things that require ordered lists and decision tools!
I also make interactive tools for artists at https://artres.xyz.
I've been super inspired by all the amazing things I've seen on Hacker News.
I am excited to try Trilium! though I think it might be hard to migrate all of my notes over with the [[tag]] conventions I have now. Did you use the trilium-py tool?
https://art-res.xyz this is a website that I mainly use for blogging about art resources. Made in Hugo, though probably needs a fresh coat of paint.
https://artres.xyz and the tumblr it's connected to makes a little bit of money like $1000 total over a few years. I mainly make money off of selling PDFs or tips!
https://artres.xyz I blog about art tutorials and resources. I also host interviews with creatives that reach out to me. I have a lot of fun doing it. I also have a design/artist utilities like an idea generator and a random image mood board generator.
PS: great stuff here everybody!
hi! For some reason, I used to not need to add to add in netlify-data=true in the HTML. The form was fetching addresses successfully until 3 days ago (checked the dashboard and had responses) and then it was broken without that tag in there. Once I added it in, the 404 went away and it worked again.
By the way, I absolutely LOVE Netlify!
Thank you for the help! I will implement those changes shortly!
Thanks so much! I will add this resource!
Dang it was working 3 days ago! Just saw that Netlify changed the way forms are handled! Thanks for noticing! I just fixed it!
Thank you so much for the feedback! Update: I implemented several of your suggestions, appreciate it!
1.I definitely will start targeting my keywords more, that's such good point! 2. Great point, I might remove all of that because most people use the free commission board I have (this page: https://artres.xyz/artist-index/) on the community page and I don't want people to get a bad vibe! 3. Thanks for the heads up, I will see if I can fix that. I think it might be a Hugo shortcode problem so I might try to do it the native IG way or remove it. 4. Great idea, thank you!
I’m in university so I use OneNote for hand drawn diagrams. I eventually want an Apple Pencil and upgraded iPad and use good notes, but I don’t have the dollars right now haha. OneNote is great because of the expandable canvas and the handwriting recognition. I do like auto shapes feature of preview though.
I annotate PowerPoint slides directly with Preview.
For other notes, I use FSNotes which is like nvALT and it’s easily searchable and quick to use.
I sometimes edit those MD notes in Typora.
I also like to curate ideas in a Gitbook, which I have public but it’s kinda messy right now. (https://index.kalispera.xyz/)
For some writing projects, I love Scrivener.
I kinda feel like I’m addicted to trying tools though oops.
I added 3 generator tools for artists to my website on https://artres.xyz! Helped me learn how to implement JS libraries into my static site.
This is really delightful! Some people are so spot on!
Hi guys! I wanted to thank this community because otherwise I wouldn't have known about Hugo, Netlify, Markdown, and static site generators.
CC welcome because I am always looking to improve.
Thanks for looking!
I love running, drawing, and photography!
Https://artres.xyz where I write and blog about art tutorials!
Thanks! That's super cool. What do you use Treesheets for in particular?
Thanks!!
Thank you! I might just reorganize my very messy one note
Right now I use pocket, but I want to try stash!
I will definitely write a short review, but I need 10 people to view the link to help me access it first: https://stash.ai/landing?source=f520deef
