Google Glass is getting a real bashing right now from the tech press, but it has the potential to be transformative in healthcare.

An excruciating metric (and the reason I left London for San Francisco :-):

"The European economy is basically the size of the U.S. But last year it saw only $6.2 billion invested in 1,074 deals. And in 2012, 16 European companies backed by venture capital went public, raising 379 million Euros between them... By contrast, the U.S. saw 3,826 venture deals worth $27 billion last year."

Cool stuff. You'd need to jailbreak your Glass to install the app though. Glassware only works as web services over the Mirror API for the time being, not as installable software.

Actually from what I see the only way to receive user input is via user selection of menu options. There don't appear to be any callbacks from swipes or taps on the touchpad.
