+1 to the op. This is one of the first things I thought about after using it for a few minutes. I have a large collection of local knowledge bases that I use through codex, having this real time thing be able to plug into it would be the killer feature, otherwise the utility is severely limited. I don't want to talk to it about the weather, I want to brainstorm about the things I am working on, which it currently knows nothing about.

there is some truth about these memory stocks eventually reaching trillion dollar market caps

What do you mean "eventually"?

Samsung $1.529 T SK Hynix $1.345 T Micron $1.343 T

Same exact story here, they denied my account despite me sending them everything they requested, no explanation given. Went with OVH and had zero issues.

Exactly. I always found it strange when people assume that "hallucinations" are just some sort of a bug in the system, as if by you tweaking some code or training modality will produce an oracle of absolute truth incapable of making mistakes.

Still doesn't answer why you would need any crypto here. Why can't the USD transferred to stripe just be a record in an SQL database saying customer X has N USD in the account, and transferring that around could be done instantly at zero cost by changing an sql row.

The desire to come and immigrate to the US has greatly diminished

Do you have any data to back up that claim?

E.g. the number of diversity lottery applicants (one of the easiest proxies to judge how many people express their interest in moving to the US) went up from 12 million in 2011 to almost 20 million last year.

Both of those things could be solved by just talking to people, and talking to people does not require you to use addiction machines.

I keep in touch with my friends abroad by emailing them when I think about them, and I get long form responses on what they are up to, not whatever is the public image filtered stuff that they may or may not be posting somewhere.

And it's a self reinforcing downward loop as those deteriorating online spaces then completely drive away everyone with anything better to do

Or confidently declaring the _true_ motivations of companies/people, like they, the random internet person, for sure know why some company or a famous person are doing something, and express it as a statement of fact and an agreed upon common sense and not a speculation based on nothing.

Most seen on reddit but seems to be becoming commonplace on here as well.

I think most Garmins have it. I have a Venu 3 and am very happy with it, the killer feature for me is it getting over a week of battery life on a single charge vs the apple watch with it's 20 hours.

Try harder

Why? I have zero interest in yet another utopian idea that will probably result in millions dead, as they always do. The current system works well enough and seems like a miracle to me coming from where I grew up, the fact that you can work hard on anything you want, take risks and get rewarded for it, and no one is gonna arbitrarily take it all away is magical.

I grew up in russia mate, I've seen the alternative to capitalism, and I can tell you that capitalism is a damn paradise compared to what that alternative was.

Instead of doing drugs just read some history on how those things go. Once you start expropriating anything you'll get a violent pushback, that's either a coup or a civil war, during those you will get violent people take charge, then if your side looses you get Pinochet and a helicopter ride, if your side wins, you get Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc that will exterminate anyone remotely like you as class enemies.

The anarchist movement lived on during the time of the Soviet Union in small pockets, largely within the Gulag where anarchist political prisoners were sent, but by the late 1930s its old guard had either fled into exile, died or disappeared during the Great Purge.

Probably not exactly what you expected

No, because calling for a communist revolution from your position is a suicide wish then, any entrepreneurs or owners of pretty much anything were considered a class enemy and you being in a leadership positions of any kind is a guaranteed ticket to a gulag.

In your profile it says you work for some company, do the founders know you want to expropriate their company? Those damn kulaks, feasting on the fruits of your labor.

They have already entered Rostov on Don (a major city in the south, million+ population) and took over a whole bunch of administrative buildings in the city center. Apparently there's another column of his moving towards Moscow. Absolutely insane.

Pre-consumerist russia had incredibly colorful dresses: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=traditional+russian+dress&t=ffab&i...

If anything it's the communists that turned everyone into a gray mass, mostly because you had a very limited number of items of clothing that the state manufactured and you could buy, and the state decided on the color, and second because standing out in any way was at best frowned upon, and at worst dangerous, especially during stalin's times.

Alright, if we're talking fundamental research, what about the number of the Fields medal recipients? I feel safe taking that bet, in the last 30 years for one Perelman there's 6 russian-born mathematicians that received it who are in the US or Europe.

I can disagree and question everything all day too, but you gotta nut up or shut up, pick an objective metric and I'll take a bet on it. Gdp, citations, number of patents, number of users of the product, number of Nobel prizes, anything measurable that would work for you? Literally anything measurable not based on your feelings.
