Not really, it's very easy to game glassdoor reviews. My previous employer had 90 or so fake 5 star reviews to have an outstanding profile.

One good thing about glassdoor reviews is the Helpful button, this gives us some authenticity for negative or positive reviews.

Yep, noticed this annoying feature too, I guess its been there for a while but till now Adblock used to block it. Google has found a way to bypass it.

Being stuck in the education system myself, I fully agree that the system is flawed. But I think you get what you pay for, if you raise the buck it won't be difficult to find some excellent coders in India.

If we are looking at the future from this point on, then in a nutshell the precise answer to this question would be NO. The only popular Java use I see is on Android by google, that is going to change sooner or later.
