I switched to Ubuntu One. It has 5GB free and a decent android client.

Other than the fonts looking a bit jagged on Win7/Chrome the design looks amazing.

There's newer firmware updates but they won't release them. Perhaps other carriers have newer updates for my phone but i'm on a contract.

Unsurprising since phones are ditched by carriers after they're sold (orphaned android user).

It's Antarctica and it's protected by international treaty. Not sure why Russia were even allowed to do this.

The bios seemed to be his only sticking point about not using other hardware. Maybe something like coreboot might fill that need now?

I read a story on HN a while back about a guy who used an algorithm to generate his passwords. Don't have the link but something like combining easy to remember bits of personal information. e.g mother's name, kids birthday, maybe changing the case of these. Also adding something site specific like the last three letters of the url backwards. It's easy to remember passwords this way but if one gets out they're all vulnerable if someone looks closely.

I suppose the DDOS cannon will be aimed at twitter and facebook next then.

Yeah, it would be nice if they had an open server that allowed you to sign up and check it out. There's nothing stopping anybody from setting one up though.

i think I saw somewhere that it was about 7 GBP for a pack. not too bad. I really like the look of this stuff, can already think of loads of uses, including making a nice little stand for my ipod touch to have beside my computer. Could become as ubiquitous as blu-tack. also sugru (súgradh) is the Irish word for 'play'.

I recommend http://www.adafruit.com I bought the usb boarduino kit for $25 which is the cheapest way to get into arduino if you already have a breadboard and a soldering iron. Great tutorials on the adafruit site too.

Google notebook is pretty good and i mostly use that. autosave, search, tagging. They don't develop it anymore apparently but it's still usable. http://www.google.com/notebook
