As an aider user for the past two months (it writes half of my code), being able to use it in the Rift vscode extension is a huge upgrade to my daily workflow. (It's me, I'm the real 10x engineer)

What you heard is likely a rare hearing disorder called Diplacusis or Polyacusis - aka hearing additional erroneous pitches: https://www.neilsperlingmd.com/blog/2018/05/everything-you-n...
I've had it in my right ear ever since being exposed to a loud engine for 9+ hours in 2021. It gets noticeable for loud sounds, especially in the 3700-5200hz range; in my right ear, I'll hear a high-pitched ringing overtone on top of whatever external I'm hearing. It's quite frustrating, but seems to come and go. Nice to hear that it faded over time for you - gives me hope!

Or how about updating the godawful PR review process? Tools like Reviewable are light years ahead. Github is great, but come on, it's stagnant. They don't release anything anymore. They don't even have mobile apps for crying out loud!
Am I correct in thinking this is class-action lawsuit-able?
This author, per his own unintentional lede, opens Android Studio twice a year. Why does he have any authority on this? This article is a bunch of reactionary first impressions written by a novice.
I use AS every day, and have been since it was 0.8. It's powerful and makes everything I do easier. About the only point I'd give him as accurate is that you've got to have the powerful laptop to run it.
As someone who recently built a project (http://www.aphex.cx/iconoclast-a-child-prostitution-hunter/) to find this exact stuff, I'm glad to see action taken against Backpage. Pimping kids out should be hard.
Thank you for what you’ve built. Our app is backed by Parse, and you’ve made it possible to help real people in a critical time because of how well you executed on your vision. I’m sure you’ve heard the same from the myriad other companies you’ve enabled thanks to the mBaaS innovations that Parse pioneered. I’m dismayed as everyone else that Facebook’s bean counters missed this immense forest for the trees of immediate profitability. They won’t soon regain developers’ trust.
i'm using this for my git repos now. (I version control my word docs and pdfs.) here, I even made a post about it http://www.aphex.cx/2014/08/using-git-for-pdf-and-word-doc-f...
