Guys, we are developing some interesting B2B SaaS service (.net+ember.js+android+ios). Currently I cannot disclose details about the project, but I can add that we have a great sales power compared to out potential competition and already secured interest from top companies in our country.

Nevertheless to the point: system is being created in Ember framework and our full-time front-end developer has sometimes insufficient experience with this framework. We are looking for some mentor with practical experience with Ember.js.

We can start with some remote co-operation, eventually mix it with some on-site time. If you will be interested - we will be also interested to turn this into long-term relation with an option to join us full time as a lead front-end developer and get some stock options (beside the salary).

Awesome! Launched over 10 years ago (our "smartphones" back then had 1mpix cameras, youtube was not born yet, etc), travelled +6,5b km and nailed a target 3-4km wide...

Few years ago on one day I took al my toys from the equity market (I've got this feeling that I'm not creating any real value and wasn't happy with that) and burned all money in my first startup (http://fashioner.com domain is for rent/sale ;).

1 year later I've inspired my friend to start another startup (service market on national level). Unfortunately VCs in Poland did not wanted to believe that it is such a good opportunity (and it was, currently 2 big competitors sharing this market). But the good thing was that we have inspired another friend to join us and gathered some money.

Now, 2 years later, we've managed to create another startup from all that ;) (http://ElimiApp.com). Just taking off, seed in the bank, fingers crossed!

I think it is just about the way you think and what you want to do in live. I could live very comfortably live from securities transactions (but create nothing, nada) or comfortably while working in some bigger company (no way). Instead I've choose to fight for years for my own thing.

Uber just started here in Poland (currently only in Warsaw, our capital city). I was quite surprised that event Polish startup oriented blogs and news outlets were rather sceptical about Uber and were preffering already available local services (iTaxi, Taxi5, German MyTaxi). Usually it is quite opposite when some global startup is staring on Polish market.

This part about differences in both sexes approach to dating services (guys going into quantity, girls being flooded with messages). It's 100% true. But Tinder is not the only solution.

Before Tinder we've started to work on Elimi project which blocks contact between girls & guys until the girl will allow selected guy to contact her. And how she does that? In our case we will wait till next batch to reapply (we applied for the 1st time when we were "naked and stupid" ;-) )

Some months have passed, we've learned our lessons, gathered great team, got feedback from around the world and finally seeing that we're onto something. Nice thing is that on the day-to-day basis it seems that we are doing exactly the same thing as few months ago. But when looking from the time perspective we've discovered that there are changes - details really matters!

Now preparing to hit the local market so we'll make mistakes and adjust our stuff on local scale before hitting US & YC (and it;ll be also nice to show some real numbers from the market in our application).

Thank you for the comment. We are doing this US mothership thing in anticipation of next round of funding from US investor and according to what we know and have heard, US incorporated mothership is the only realistic way to go, right?

So I presume that it would be the best to only delay the IP transfer from Europe to US just before the investment and formal links (US company owning 100% of European company) might be already in place?

We're running a startup incorporated in European Union and planning to incorporate c-corp in Delaware as our mother company. C-corp will simply buy-out 100% shares in our European company which will be still hiring our employees (located and working in Europe).

From what we've checked we shouldn't have any hassle (event the c-corp bank account will be opened in European bank) or are we missing something?

True. I was VERY surprised by the quality of mobile internet (and mobile phone connection in general) when I was in San Francisco and around Silicon Valley). Here in Poland I've got 4g connection practically everywhere in bigger cities (15-20mbits download 3-6mbits upload, ping ~50-70ms tested several times) and in SF I was sometimes struggling to get some decent signal...

In Poland when you want to hire someone "as it should be" with a proper work contract it is quite a pain in the ass for the employer. 1) Many rights for the empolyee, not so many for the employer, 2) VERY high real costs of employment (only ~40% of total employment costs lands in the hands of the employee to his/her disposal).

That's why many companies are using some "alternative" ways to hire someone still legally with much lower costs (10-25% employer costs including the salary) and more balanced rights for both sides of the contract.

And after that think about Flickr selling to Yahoo for like $20m?

Bill's approach to what you can and should do is simply amazing. I respect him for leaving the comfort zone of IT world (which he ruled at the time) and going after real people problems (affecting whole populations, no matter how technologically advanced the society is).

I totally agree. I always was clear that OK, I want to TRY changing the world but also I want to make some money to support my daily needs and the team working with me. When I was visiting SV for the first time I was feeling strange talking that we're in it also for the money, kinda silly :-)

P.S. regarding 6 crashes during mail share - we've tested it again while connected to wifi, everything is working OK. Neverthless our ios dev is aware of this and will take a look into stats

We looked at this concept but results were not so good. But there is some visual effect after teleportation is completed. We will work on more that in further releases. For now we have to address some issuess and Android :-)

P.S. My friend just tested all sharing options on his iPhone5 - worked fine. It must have been some random crash in your case. Nevertheless it will be visible in our statistics.
