4) Why create my own API ? If someone as good as Google has already build it ? I know how to code and have built this app within 3 months.
and yes I am a young developer and I know what business is. I know about code re-usability and providing a great user experience.
Regarding building of my own API, I could have done that but I always wanted to make Gmail Tasks better, because I have been using it from past two-years.
Learn to praise the people instead of finding negative aspects.
I am already doing that, because of that only I am able to survive 2000 users. I want to expand and publicize my app and give users an excellent experience.
If anyone in Google is reading this please don't mistake me, I know Google is a innovative company and through this post I don't want to give any negative impression about Google.
I want Gmail Tasks to be world recognized and people to use it more frequently.
I see that there are very less standalone apps developed for Tasks, this is a small effort by me to make Google Tasks better and more usable.
If you find value in what I am doing and see it innovative enough, please help.
Thanks for giving me an opportunity to build an app on google.
They are not random people, they are the users of gmailsharedtasks. They have used it and love it. They have commented due to my request so that google come to know that the app works great and is loved and needs attention.
It is difficult to charge money from India as Individuals, paypal does not accept money for India nowadays and it is near to impossible to attach a international payment gateway. I thought of donation as well but again paypal issue.
If you see the thread there are "27 posts by 24 authors", many users are supporting my app and are sending thank you email. I have been even trying to reach Google employees personally but having no luck :(
I don't understand why people are making a fuss about it.
It shows only when you have chosen your inbox to show different categories.
Secondly it shows only in promotional email subscriptions. Not disturbing "Primary tab".
I completely agree with you. I am not going to stop using ubuntu, but what i am saying is this is not an act of maturity. we love Linux for the Base context of being free and open source which is not going to change. The Reason for not getting picked up i assume is the constant UI changes Ubuntu is doing. well i did't actually like the UNITY Desktop. What if they could have just maintained a sleek UI and added more and more nice features. I hope that would have helped.
this is totally childish, i have been using ubuntu for last 6 years and never have had complains with their working. they used to do splendid job by delivering the cds at door steps in shipit program. but this step of defaming competitors is never gonna help, it is going to become a part of criticism.
