Brace yourselves for more stories like these. Recently I got served a youtube add for a dapps (distributed apps) development workshop where the instructor went something like "learn how to create financial apps without any prior experience in just X days/weeks/months!!!". If crypto and decentralized finance is going to make good on the promise of democratizing finance then we have a bumpy road ahead of us. From my anecdotal evidence I see that sleep robustness can be strongly shaped by conditioning when we're younger.

Ex: having your children sleep in bedrooms with open doors with a dim light source on will make them into one of those "I sleep through everything" sleepers.

It comes with alot of nice to haves out of the box (auth, an admin backend, browsable api...) . Built on top of Django of course so there's some overhead there.

I wouldn't use it if high performance is top priority above all else.

Pleasantly surprised to see Ramit Sethi's name pop up in the article. I've watched some of his 'Find your dream job' videos on youtube and the advice there was solid and yielded results first time I applied them in salary/job negotiation situations.

Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Projects like the WAL actually do help prevent the spread of malicious sites. Some TLD registries go into great length to ensure that the identity of their registrants is valid (address, phone, email).

Valid whois data is a necessity when processing some of these cases (from a legal point of view). I see this in practice every day.

The potential burden for the majority of domain owners (those who don't plan to do anything illegal with their little piece of internet real estate) is undeniably an issue, but projects like WAL have very real merit for the internet as a whole.

Colour me interested. I'm arriving a day earlier anyway.

CS fan here. As a rule of thumb I often include outermost parens only in my CS code for this reason. All situation dependent and readability comes first of course.

There are some neat tricks you can do with the 2 stereo signals. Linear combinatios of L/R channels is the easiest, but doesn't work well with modern mixes where bass/snare/voice is centered and other instruments are rarely ever hard-panned (you can get really cool results on some older albums like Rubber Soul - there's a lot of hard panning going on there)
