This is actually in violation with Mturks TOS. You cannot ask for personally identifiable information. They could ban your Amazon account.

Hopefully this will reduce the remarketing ads I keep seeing(doubtful). I click 1 link on HN and then usually it's a YC company fills up all the ad units on every page.

Ahh at least it's better then the get rich quick stuff or the 1-Secret Diet Trick ads on Facebook.

It's great to be a 30+ year old gamer/entrepreneur who is living thru the console wars. The landscape today feels a lot like it did in late-90's. And this piece give you a great glimpse of the dynamics on building a ground breaking piece of software.

Had our blog go down. Didn't realize it was AWS wide..did a reboot. Now I am in reboot limbo. Put an urgent ticket into Amazon. They just said they are working urgently to fix the issues. Let's see how long this goes.

I think I've booked at least 10 flights thru Hipmunk. Much easier system for the business traveler to understand and plan.

$7mil in this market for seasoned entrepenuers with a product making over 100k a month (their numbers via recent interviews)... not a bad business to invest in.

Let's see how they scale.

Your multiple A/b Split tests, Multi country view is spot on when looking at ad units. Imagine trying to have 1 ad unit for both japanese and a US website.

It's in the algorithm. Theirs is better then yours. Trust me on that one.

When a few publishers complain to their adwords representative that they get no conversions from your site a few flags could be raised. Such as a site audit by a Googler.

Make sure you monitor your adsense messages just in case.

The answer to your question is how much they are will pay.

Also you're in a curious position because if they have filed a Trademark on their name (in US at least not sure about UK) they can file a trademark dispute.

If you came to me and said you were squating on my TM I'd start legal procedures.

Now if they don't have a TM ... Maybe convince them to do a profit share if this new domain rockets them to new search levels. Exact domains have a much higher SEO value. So in truth it could be a win for them. I'd reach out to who ever does their SEO and let he/she be your advocate.

Google will negate the click if they are seeing high bounce rates.

Beware showing different squeeze pages based on IP. Google could see that as cloaking.

But good work monetizing a simple site.

I am not sure what the site is about. Do a quick video explaining the concept of the site. Also make the homepage a landing page that educates me, gives me a preview, but enticed me to join.

I'd suggest for you to do some office jujitsu (work on the project while at work). If the project is tech one and you don't have the skill sets yourself, outsource via getacoder/elance. For less then a 1k you probably can get a working alpha for your product.

The key though as nolite mentioned is passion. You cannot be a successful entrepreneur without it. If your wife yell at you and you are passionate enough about what you are doing, yell back.

This is your dream. Make it happen.
