I think the best explanation and understanding I received about Fourier Transform was from studying linear algebra.

The Fourier Transform equation essentially maps a signal from the time domain onto orthogonal complex sinusoidal basis functions through projection.

I'm one of the regular code reviewers for Burn (a deep learning framework in Rust). I recently had to close a PR because the submitter's bug fix was clearly written entirely by an AI agent. The "fix" simply muted an error instead of addressing the root cause. This is exactly what AI tends to do when it can't identify the actual problem. The code was unnecessarily verbose and even included tests for muting the error. Based on the person's profile, I suspect their motivation was just to get a commit on their record. This is becoming a troubling trend with AI tools.

Now waiting for Claude Code to be rewritten in Rust.

Does anyone know a tool that would generate links automatically for types (etc) to Docs.rs. We have a library (Burn) and accompanying book where were references types in many places.

For finding answers, Stack Overflow may be useful, but for posting questions, it is not. I ceased posting questions a while ago due to the aggressive moderation, which often labeled my questions as duplicates or too common. I was very upset with the direction Stack Overflow had taken, as it seemed to embody the very criticisms it had once had about forums. The Stack Overflow community has lost its vibrancy and has become stagnant. I am pleased that platforms like ChatGPT are emerging as real competitors.

So, the sun is a low-entropy source of energy, and Earth (and everything on it) increases that entropy as it uses and then reradiates that energy. This process is entirely consistent with the second law of thermodynamics.

The relationship between light frequency and entropy comes from the fact that entropy is a measure of disorder or randomness. High-frequency light, such as ultraviolet or visible light, is more ordered and less random than lower-frequency light, such as infrared or microwave light.

This is due to how light is structured. Light is made up of particles called photons, and each photon carries a certain amount of energy. The energy of a photon is directly proportional to its frequency: higher-frequency photons carry more energy than lower-frequency ones.

So, if you have a fixed amount of energy to distribute among photons, you can do so in many more ways (i.e., with higher entropy) if you use low-energy, low-frequency photons. That's because you would need many more of them to carry the same total amount of energy.

On the other hand, if you use high-energy, high-frequency photons, you would need fewer of them to carry the same total amount of energy. There are fewer ways to distribute the energy (i.e., lower entropy), so this arrangement is more ordered and less random.

Therefore, high-frequency light is considered a lower-entropy form of energy compared to low-frequency light, because the energy is concentrated in fewer, more energetic photons.

Our family is using Amazon Photos with Family Vault feature that collects photos in one place. We use Amazon Echo Show to display the photos. We got tired by Echo's spam (we want to use only for photo frame and other features) and we would like to transition to iCloud Photos but we cannot find a similar solution.

Can anyone recommend a good set up with iCloud Photos and some sort of hardware to view our photos on an always on display? We do not wish to manually copy our photos to be clear.
