I was a self taught software developer that was very advanced. I remember applying to Microsoft dozens of times. Your resume goes right in the trash … unless you are a foreign indentured servant. These companies are not our friends. I was permanently shadow banned and limited on LinkedIn for mentioning this. It’s a racket. Intel laying off 30K people a quarter. Who do they replace them with?

In my area, there is a Tae Kwon Do school my kids go to. You can see every year the class picture. For the last 10 years it was almost all white kids then it made a dramatic change to almost 100% Indian. We live near Microsoft. Something very obviously is going on with immigration. To say Microsoft has simply been flooding the area with Indians is shown visually.

This article is 100% planted industry nonsense designed to prime the public for entirely unjustified price hikes being set by monopolists.

If you don’t know the playbook for industry to jack prices by colluding, time to educate yourself.

This is PR.

The economist is not your friend, it is a corporate : government mouthpiece.

The entire argument is because healthcare costs too much then car insurance should cost more.

Argument for back door inflation of insurance.

You already have health insurance why do you need more expensive car insurance on top of your more expensive health insurance.

This is total bullshit. Don’t believe it.

Chinese will catch them soon, the way the Chinese caught their electric car efforts.

Having an entire nation state level effort, with far more capital and far better trained workforce, which China has, and the ability to copy the leader.

China will surpass SpaceX in a handful of years. The process is already underway.

In the whole it might be a good thing because it will probably force the United States to actually give a sh*t about competing in space, and subsidize SpaceX heavily.

Elon Musk needs trade barriers to remain in place. And he needs trade barriers for space and robotics.

Buying Twitter, the primary location for political disagreements and communications, is a sort of cover bet to negotiate later.

Interesting to note Trump staying away from Twitter altogether. He likely doesn’t want to give anyone, including Musk, and leverage or perceived leverage over him.

What is interesting is he has likely secured the nomination and may be able to win without Twitter, which would be a major signal that he is uncontrollable

Part of it is ultra concentration of white men with few or no women in the Bay Area imo.

If you have zero social life and zero chance of a social life and the aperture of available activities is purely constrained to ultra pure social media groups of similar white men and you never interact with women individually or as a group …

Society is generally breaking down and falling apart at that point.

Normally I would expect men to moderate their behavior if there are women going: “eghhhhhh idk that is tooooooo far guys you need to chill out.”

That isn’t happening anymore, and hasn’t been happening for a while.

So now you are getting a sort of ultra distilled white male in group effect.

Women civilize men, generally, and that hasn’t been happening for years.

You are going to get cults and they are going to get more crazy.

Things like imagining a heaven where you get 77 virgins (Muslim religion) are byproducts of highly stressed out societies where men have next to zero prospects.

It’s not good. The media isn’t going to fix it tho.

My life personally post covid has declined considerably in the social domain. My circle has gotten more and more narrow and I feel more and more weird and isolated.

I don’t want to be weird and isolated. I would rather have friends and a community.

So what do I do? I actually go to church now. That’s literally my only option and I’m not even that religious.

Remote work and the isolation has put incredible stress on me as an animal. I don’t like this.

The fact that the faang virus is spreading to startups is really bad news.

Startups are high risk high reward and do unconventional things, hire unconventional talent.

The fact that any startup is taking a faaang approach -

The ceo of a great startup must be the talent detector first and foremost,

If the CEO of startups are not doing the talent sourcing and attracting, what are they even working on.

This story has 100% of the markers of public relations and a planted story.

Take a step back: Do you actually believe this? Really? Really? It just reads like it’s fake.

The data is simply not believable. It is designed to get headlines and focus on Ozempic to get people to buy it.

This is propaganda. Planted and designed by pharm industry.

If you look at how most animals reproduce in the wild.

It is not pretty, at all.

There is force, and violence, and subjugation, and domination, biting, killing.

Reproduction is an ugly, ugly process.

A funny analogy with humans is Panda bears. Pandas are notoriously very hard to persuade to reproduce in captivity.

Now we are the panda bears.

We have put ourselves in captivity, built an entire society that drastically warps our behavior for several generations and now we are trying to sort of undo all that.

Those behaviors and those cultures took millennia to create. And we are going to sort of hit a light switch and toggle them back on?

Suspect the basics or love and romance have been completely forgotten. We have also actively denigrated male courtship rituals to the point that men have been discouraged from a wide range of behaviors we used to have.

Watching old James Bond movies. Wtf?

Men and women have to be trained and encouraged to reproduce and date.

We don’t necessarily naturally get along at all.

A big part of relationships used to come with external pressure. Men and women were poked and trained and prodded together by society.

Unless China plans to recreate all those missing societal pressures no idea how they will get men and women back together.

If you really want to do it, you basically just let everyone know directly and indirectly that you are all getting married at 20 and getting pregnant or you don’t get a house.

Something that extreme will be needed.

Suspect a single change like that: Literally, you cannot buy or own property without a baby or you get a significant substitute and the woman gets a dowry.

Humans are like panda bears: We do not mate in captivity the way we need to in order to create children.

China will have to bring all that back.

And if they want them to STAY married there will need to be a persistent social status imbalance where the man is higher social status or the woman won’t want anything to do with him.

How do you pull that off?

My observation is society will bend over backward. Do literally anything. Rather than actively embrace what is known about IQ as being true.

Any book offering something along the lines of “just work harder and you will get there!” stands a good chance about being widely adopted and celebrated.

Because it offers a pseudoscience and publicly acceptable theory that is in opposition or replaces IQ.

High intelligence is incredibly heritable and enables people to learn complex skills much faster than others.

If you add in ADHD and Aspergers, I would guess I can out learn anyone but only at topics that interest me.

You are not going to beat someone whose brain literally cannot turn off and who ruminates obsessively about complex topics all day. No matter how much you “practice.”

The worse the advice the more generic.

Generic advice sounds like: “to get good at golf … you really just need to hit the ball more. With the club.”

Nothing was said. Nothing objectionable. Mass audience can understand it.

That is roughly the quality of most advice.

The really good advice in my experience is never popular or even said out loud.

The really good advice would make you dislike the person saying it, usually.

Example: “if someone is doing something valuable but they are really bad at marketing, if you can get away with it, steal their idea and remarket it and go to market before they find out what you did.”

I have seen many people get rich doing that approach.

I have never seen anyone getting rich off of Naval threads.

Another piece of actual advice:

“If you want to get rich, form a private group chat with your friends and coordinate to fool the general public and trade insider information.”

Because that is what the rich people actually do.

Would you say that out loud? No, everyone would hate you if you did.

Or maybe …

“If you want to create a popular fitness channel, do a little steroids (you can take smaller amounts) and pretend you just exercise and eat the supplements you are selling a lot. And rent a lambo for $2K and stand in front of it for Instagram photos.”

Or

“Go on shady websites and pay an engagement farm from India to like all your posts so you seem popular.”

All the shit that actually works and people actually do no one ever says out loud.

I can’t, it requires theory of mind which I don’t have. The concept of a “this person is a This so you talk to them like That.”

I don’t have it.

Also:

I have worked with quantum physicists with multiple degrees from Harvard / Stanford / Yale etc and realized I am in the same room as and same conversations as them.

These are the upper .01% of the talent pool and my intelligence has got me to that level.

You can’t pull that off by being a complete dumb ass. I have done it over and over and over.

I feel that in corporate it is generally understood you are to play out a role given your social rank.

If you are X, you are not allowed to ask about Y topic etc.

People with Aspergers do not perceive these boundaries and open topics they are not supposed to or are “above their pay grade.”

Status blindness and career limiting.

You are correct, I have very little urge to talk to people.

I have absolutely nothing in common with most people and it feels like very little to talk about, and I am extremely impatient with them.

Isolating and ruminating is the alternative I guess.

You have the same output as me.

It’s like an open faucet with words and stuff spilling out, and ideas, strategies, facts etc.

Elon Musk has talked about having a similar experience of just raw ideation to a degree that it is unpleasant.

My ideation cannot be shut off.

I walk multiple hours today just thinking obsessively and planning, iterating, ideating.

I can’t sit still, the activity of my brain is unpleasant I am just ruminating all the time.

Doesn’t happen to normal people - I think their brains are usually calmer - more in a neutral mode.

The end result is that when I do get engaged, and get into work, I tend to get extremely burned out. You can’t have this level of super output without burning out.

This is autistic melt downs / burn out I only learned about from YouTube.

I remember specifically having my first meeting with a Director of a large account at my last job.

I was really excited by it and was rattling off a list of ideas and tactics and strategies for how we could open the account.

His face turned bright red and he started SCREAMING at me.

At that point I was like “oooohk I did the thing again.” And backed off and didn’t interact with him.

After that he was a total asshole to me and started spreading rumors about me.

He felt extremely threatened I gather that he had been running this account for years and I could walk in and imagine a number of new approaches.

If I did it now I wouldn’t be so direct.

I have ideas all the time and most like do not want to have discussions like this because … they don’t have ideas themselves.

Corporate middle management are generally non creative and “brainstorming” just pisses them off.

Right now I am starting my own.

I generally gravitate towards the most autistic market niches imaginable. Usually areas which combine multiple autistic topics together that attract the weirdest people imaginable.

Thank you.

I am extremely empathetic and honest. Most middle management at most companies optimizes for non-creative yet industrious which turns highly competitive over pettiness.

I just can’t see myself doing it anymore. Especially after what happened to me at my last role.

I had my naïveté taken advantage of.
