Where...? Doesn't sound very trustworthy to me...

Identification? As in how long we've been around?

We've got Ruby already installed and we offer Ruby on Rails so Sinatra should be okay to install. Obviously on the shared platform anything considered highly intensive or anything which will require ports opening won't be allowed. You'll need a VPS for that.

We do a full 30-day money back guarantee on all shared web hosting packages if something doesn't suit your needs.

This sounds like me most of the time...

I think half the battle is just forcing yourself into getting things done. Usually once you're into a task it's harder to stop than it was to initially get started.

Here's our offerings on the shared hosting front: http://www.hartserver.net/hosting/shared/

They are offering better webspace and data transfer by the looks of it. We offer unlimited features where they don't as well as a telephone support offering. We also offer free setup on everything.

In terms of VPS comparison we offer unmetered transfer on all packages and a bit more flexibility in terms of customisation.

We can do even cheaper VPS servers also in Europe and US on request, starting from £6/month for a 1 core, 512MB RAM 20GB SSD with unmetered transfer.

I run my own web hosting company with servers based in the UK if you don't mind me self-promoting. Cheapest package for shared hosting is £4.25 but we also do VPS which can be based in the UK (slightly more expensive) or alternatively Europe or US.

Yep, I can see two folders in there and your 26.76MB PDF file. Also lets me delve into the subfolders.

I always wondered about this as well. Surely if you share the URL with someone, they could reshare it and as you say you then don't know who has access.

Please 'like' us on Facebook for your chance to win a years' worth of shared web hosting. We'll choose someone at random to win a Gold package for the year (worth £63.75), offering 10GB webspace and 150GB monthly data transfer, as well as unlimited features. No commitment required after the year. We'll even throw in a free domain name for you from the TLDs we offer.

Please pass this on if you know someone who may benefit. We'll choose a winner at the end of October at random from all new likes collected this month.

A couple of T&Cs: No cash alternative. The hosting account is non-transferrable, and cannot be transferred to another non-selected party. The shared hosting account can be cancelled at the end of the year if required without further payment or contract.

Good luck! :)

Want to make some extra cash? Our affiliate scheme is back, and it's even better than before. You'll receive 10% commission on every new order you refer to us, plus the person you're referring will also receive 10% off their first order. Even better, we'll keep on giving you 5% commission every single time a referred order is successfully renewed, so you can keep on earning. We pay commission out in full every month to a bank account or via PayPal, and unlike other affiliate schemes there's no minimum withdrawal limit.

You can be set up and referring people within minutes simply by logging in or registering with us. It's free and you don't even need to have any services with us. More information is available on our Customer Centre at https://customers.hartserver.net/referrals/ where you can also find your unique affiliate URL.

Happy referring!

Hi there. Thanks for the feedback, it's much appreciated! :)

The price is per mailbox, so that's 10GB/mailbox for £19 per month. We also offer a licence and download for Outlook 2010 with each mailbox. OWA and ActiveSync are provided as standard, so maybe we need to make that more clear. Setup is also free and instantaneous. We're hoping to bring the price down per mailbox at some point in the future depending on initial uptake.
