Discovery Coding 1 year ago

Casey Muratori talks about this in his Handmade Hero videos. I believe he calls it exploration-based programming.

It's very strange that when I land on the page for the very first time, I land halfway down the page and I'm staring at a block of random code.

Not what you'd expect to see.

This wouldn't do anything to reduce ocean acidification from CO2 absorption though, would it?

I used to following a twitter account that would post the average CO2 level each day, and I distinctly remember the few weeks where I started to see a few 400s amongst the high 300s, and then, finally, never saw 300s again.

Everyone commenting so far seems to be missing the forest for the trees. Doing hard things, and the proof that comes with it, is empowering.

I ran a special session of Dread for Halloween a few years ago. We typically play D&D but for the season, I wanted to mix it up. The thing is, I set the Dread game in the same setting as our D&D game, and the players got to experience what it was like to NOT be the big damn heroes for once, instead getting to run for their lives.

Would recommend!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but OP is complaining (IMO rightfully) about the quality of Airpod microphones, not the quality of incoming audio while using Airpods.

I've yet to find a good solution for viewing lists while also keeping threads ordered correctly, and also hiding retweets.

Showing RTs in a list seems (to me) to defeat the purpose of a list in the first place.

Passengers in OpenTTD are just a type of cargo like any other resource in the game. They're different from industry cargo in that the building that "consumes" them is the same as the one that "produces" them (residential areas), but there isn't any more to it than that.

Why does it need to make any more sense than that to be enjoyable?
