When I’m implying that nato has been pushed to former soviet countries I’m referring to the influence done by US to support different governments. In Ukraine revolution in 2014 has been greatly supported by US.

My 2cents: Nextjs with page router was a very nice (and simple to learn but powerful) framework.

I have always developed backend apis in nodejs with express and used Nextjs for frontend only and just when I needed SSR.

Developing projects this way had always been a joy.

App router did change everything and destroyed the good reputation of Nextjs: it is hard to learn, to manage and does offer few concrete advantages

I moved from Aider to ClaudeCode for the simple reason i usually use IntelliJ Idea and even if poorer than RooCode on VSCode, integration between IntelliJ and ClaudeCode is reasonably solid. Little kids, in my opinion, should focus on things that don’t require electronics, for example things such as LEGO, drawing with pencils instead of a tablet, reading books instead of watching tv or reading an ebook. They shouldn’t have a smartwatch distracting them during school lessons.

They will have time to be deeply involved with electronics but before they must acquire “material” experiences

I have a tangentially related question since I don’t use an Olap db: is deleting data so hard to perform? Is it necessarily an immutable storage?

If so, is it a gdpr compliant storage solution? I am asking it since gdpr compliance may require data deletion (or at least anonimization)

Just a note about the “.do” extension: if I correctly recall, it was introduced by struts framework which used “Action” as a naming convention such as Spring uses “Controller” as suffix, and so they used “.do” as extension.

I come from Java and moved to nodejs for backend four years ago. I now use sequelize as orm. Most of your pain is due to hibernate itself. It may be the only really enterprise level orm but it is a pain in the ass.

Sequelize is extremely simpler and writing code with it is a joy compared to hibernate.

When you say nobody uses different database that’s true 99% of the time but i worked with a company which developed a tool that must be placed within customer infrastructure and this type of customers force you for the db choice since they have highly paid db support teams (financial sector) so they had to support multiple dbs.

A year ago i had to develop a big Java application without orm (cto’s choice): i didn’t remember how tedious, error prone and slow is development without orm!!! Never do it again!

I think the best approach is to use orm for common crud tasks and add specific sql queries when things get a little bit complicated.

I've been using copilot for 6 months and it has been an exceptional tool worth the money even if not always generating correct code.

What i'm concerned with is that i think it can interrupt the flow of thoughts while programming since you have to review the generated code, but that is the price to pay to use such a formidable tool

Nice idea, but to be honest i had many issues with that:

1) need to register to get the pdf...i did it but i consider it really too much for such service so i used a throwaway email account

2) i couldn't download it using chrome (is it me only? i can download files from everywhere)

3) on Safari i downloaded the pdf but it was blank except for the quote written on the footer of the page

In italy ADE (in italian known as DAE) can be used by anybody: when you call emergency number, they ask you for the problem and if needed, operator suggests you to find an ade. If you can find one nearby, it's the device itself that instructs you how to apply it to the patient and how to use it, by speaking to you and it's super simple even for people that don't have any health or emergency support knowledge. The ade device monitors the patient and decides itself if it must release the charge shock or not (sorry for my english, hope you understand what i mean!). So this is not a useless device and being able to deliver an ade device faster even in places where it would took time to send an ambulance, it's significantly important and personally i'd be more happy to see flying drones equipped with ade than drones equipped with stuffs bought on amazon or somewhere else: that would be a good use of drone technology for our humanity
