I updated, and my whole Elixir/JS setup works like before.
I like that they _finally_ added window snapping to the window manager, but keyboard shortcuts are still missing from what I can see.
Edit: it is possible! take a look at this Reddit post for a workaround https://www.reddit.com/r/MacOS/comments/1dcy6l2/comment/lax9...
Love the font, don't care for the website -- it was very hard to navigate.
Elixir, Ecto, SQL, and a bit of devops notes and ideas.
There is a more personal section that will contain random ideas and observations.
Great article, thank you! Please submit it to https://elixirstatus.com/ as well!
Came here to post this. I was looking forward to the results.
Author here, thanks for this. I've updated the blog post!
The cost of the license is peanuts compared to the time I spend using it.
And hopefully the money you make with it

I use only Sublime for my work. But to claim that VSCode didn't overshadow it is incorrect.
Everyone uses VSCode, and while I hate it because of the bloat, slow startup, and slow plugins, given a blind test I don't think I would be able to tell which one is faster in typing...
Agreed. We pushed for tab spacing on JavaScript projects and this allowed personal preference which is great. Four-space tabs looks the best to me.
I moved away from Google two years ago after using it for close to 7 years. Still didn't manage to move away from Google Photos.
I'm not finding this option anywhere. Can you please link it?
Miniflux is awesome, loads fast even over very slow VPN. Amazing software.
Terminal bell is something that in my opinion was once great but now overused to the point I turn it off. I remember the time I could just sound a bell on an end of a long running process and that would be it. Today I use a visual/audio notification on the ends of my scripts.
osascript -e 'display notification "Completed!"'
osascript -e 'say "Done"'Thank you for taking the time to write out a detailed response.
I agree with you completely. I'm looking to switch away from Ubuntu for both my personal and work servers. Do you recommend openSUSE for servers as well?
I agree with you. There is much place for improvement but the verion you donwload now on AppStore is new user hostile, especially when you figure out that they have a waiting list...
Excuse my ignorance but how does personal bankruptcy work? Does this allow you to accumulate debt and move along?
Snacks Daily - The best podcast so far about finacial news. They comment on all industries that move the market - being milk and dairy to banks and tech. Short but very fun!
New York Times The Daily
The Wall Street Journal & Gimlet
Financial Times Banking Weekly
Very nice read. But I’m a bit confused with the following:
Because these companies probably use AI-powered account-aware filters, you should not put anything identifiable in the test email. For example, if your name is "John Smith", do not put "John" nor "Smith" in the message, and do not send it from an addres like john.smith@example.com.
Why is this so? Is this only for the first email?
I've patched the font for powerline https://gist.github.com/andreicek/b369bff8807be005be7cd5ac4f...
I really liked the gitignore.io [1] project and the ease that it provided when creating a new git repo. I wanted something like that but for licenses.
So I made LaaS. A simple (can't express this enough) tool that gets you a license in just a few seconds.
The code is available at GitHub [2] where I accept pull requests and bug reports.
This is my first project of this kind so please don't go easy on me. :)
Thanks for taking a look.
I don't know why I like this so much, but it looks great!
I will be using this in my current project ASAP.
First comment, go easy on me.
Have you seen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnm4xFC2xNo ?
I think the second guy at the end of the video raises an important question. Why use this over any other currency? If you are worried about the "control" of the said currency why not use a more "free" one like Swiss francs?
I am worried that Bitcoin will never be used as a standard if a regular, Facebook user, can't manage to get his hands on it, and afterwards use it. It's a catch 22 in my opinion.
Sure it's easy for IT people to use it, but my mom doesn't even know about PayPal for instance. And I am sure she is not the only one.
