Why would you prefer an external power brick?

The internal power supplies in Mac minis have been extremely reliable and the fewer cables the better, in my opinion.

I was wondering the same thing.

There might be other explanations than a cyberattack though. The pagers could have been prepared in some way before distribution.

From the videos, it looks like the explosions were quite sudden and remarkably violent for such a small device.

So in addition to people-hunting FPV drones, we now have the equivalent of exploding collars from science fiction movies like Running Man. I don't like where we're heading, but it was probably inevitable that technology would be used this way.

Crypto scam, actually. Very well done though!

Fake AI voice of Elon Musk, embedded QR code with SpaceX branding, redirect to https://spacex-starship.com.

85,000 people watching this fake channel (which has 369,000 subscribers for some reason). $30,000 in BTC already deposited and more rolling in every minute.

For a while now, the lifespan of Apple devices has mostly been limited by Apple stopping to provide software updates. Most Macs from 20 years ago still work fine today. If some component died, it was usually the hard drive or the power supply in my experience.

Apple Silicon will definitely be the architecture best supported by Apple for the foreseeable future. There is no downside to it in terms or reliability or longevity.

Do you happen to have some links to information about the issues you mentioned?

Swift async/await has worked excellently for me so far. The biggest issue is that most libraries aren't updated to use it (and sometimes couldn't be, because they require Custom Actor Executors, which weren't available until Swift 5.9).

I found the following video helpful to better understand Swift async/await: "Swift concurrency: Behind the scenes" https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2021/10254
