What kind of car do you have?

I started the website http://www.wrestlestat.com 3 years ago. It is a college wrestling website where the main feature of the website was to be able to view common opponents between 2 wrestlers. There's no other product out there for this, so it's 100% unique. In addition to that, it provides, rosters, schedules, results, statistics, rankings, as well as 2 different fantasy platforms.

Now, is this successful? To me, yes. When I started it originally, it was just a "fun" side project, the first website that I developed once I got into web programming (10 years on client server architecture prior to). It's a 100% free site, but I monetize through AdSense. Taking out my hosting costs, it doesn't make very much money, but it IS profitable. No way I'd be able to make a living off of it though.

So in my eyes, yes it's successful, in terms of HN folks, probably not so much. But I'm having fun with it!

I've been looking into making beer at home and was trying to find some stuff online. Yesterday I stumbled across this website, which not only has some YouTube tutorials, but other cool stuff on there (saw a video of Chrissy Teigen doing something....not sure, I was distracted).

Anyways, I know all of you are into your beers so I thought I'd share. Also, if you have any recommendations for making beer, I'd love to hear it.

I was thinking it would be kind of up to the next passenger. If they are ready to get in the car/Uber, and notice it's extremely dirty, or god-forbid someone puked in their recently, maybe they have something on the app or in the car that says "Report car for service inspection/cleaning" and "request another ride".

Whatever happened to Google Latitude? I know I used it a few years ago; it just shows the current position of a persons phone at all times...

I see this response a lot about autonomous vehicles won't work until they can handle the situations that you mentioned. That's not fair. Those are the ultimate worst/hardest situations for ANY driver, human or autonomous.

In my opinion, the fully autonomous vehicles shouldn't need to handle those situations. Leave that up to the human to navigate.

Fully autonomous should be able to handle the NORMAL day-to-day driving responsibilities. If you're going to require those situations that you mentioned, we'll never have fully autonomous vehicles.

NOTE: when I say fully-autonomous, the car will still have a steering wheel and someone sitting in the driver seat. The google car that had no steering wheel would never happen in the "real-world" only tightly controlled environments.

Yeah, that date (format) is really annoying to look at now that you bring it up. Makes much more sense to have it like you state (5 minutes ago...).

More links - I thought I had WAY too many links (been trying to figure out the SEO stuff also). Just about anywhere in the site where you see either a wrestlers name, or a school name, they are always links (except when they are in headers). I can definitely add the links in the headers, the side-effect to that is then they'll be underlined.

Cool idea on the photos and links to registration sites. Be fun way to interact with each of the "events" and feel more like you were there.

Here's a really cool college wrestling website. Contains TONS of information about teams and wrestlers. For teams, you can see rosters, depth charts, schedules, eligibility breakdowns. For wrestlers you can all of their matches results for their career. Site also offers it's own ranking system which generates wrestler rankings, dual rankings, as well as tournament rankings. The dual and tournament rankings are one-of-a-kind. Also offers two different types of fantasy games, one a week-to-week challenge, and also a tournament challenge similar to NCAA Basketball brackets. Can also personalize the website to follow your favorite wrestlers and/or schools.

I believe level 4 is where the car takes over completely. Level 5 is where the no steering wheel is introduced.

I've thought about doing that (actually, my one helper WANTS me to open it up to New Jersey High School, which is where he's from). It would require some decent architecture changes, but the majority of those I'm working on this summer....so maybe in the future.
