Neither provides a DAM though. Photomator's asset management features are basically what Photos provides, which is far inferior to Aperture's DAM features. Many who miss Aperture aren't just lamenting the editing tools, they miss library organisation features that Photos simply doesn't offer.

We did, a few times. Only because many of them had generous credits for early stage startups. GCP, Azure, SoftLayer (now IBM Cloud), DigitalOcean. We weren't relying on any particular service except managed Kubernetes, but we were happy to set it up overselves if it wasn't on offer.

You know you can do this:

    $idf = new IntlDateFormatter('fa_IR@calendar=persian',
        IntlDateFormatter::FULL,
        IntlDateFormatter::FULL,"Asia/Tehran",
        IntlDateFormatter::TRADITIONAL);
right?

PHP has a wrapper for ICU.

Although updates to the last SDK version in a timely manner is a valid concern, but does one really rebuild his application with a new major iOS version after a week of the release?
