I couldn't disagree more. Connect is written in Flash and has serious stability issues. For better or for worse Zoom is stable and intuitive for adult learning.

It would be interesting to see what a layout full of source code/terminal history would generate - although you'd have to take into consideration all variety of autocomplete functionality (tab key usage) in text editors to get accurate input data, not to mention window switching shortcuts etc.

You are confusing E2EE encryption with encryption in transit/rest in the commerce example. The majority of transactions today are encrypted in transit and (you would hope) encrypted at rest so that the bank and selected parties can access the data (including the customer). There is no bank that would encrypt financial data using E2EE so that only the customer and merchant could access it, which is the analogy here on E2EE with messaging.
Sure, now we are looking at tokenization which reduces the risk merchants store your details insecurely, but commerce will always require a bank to store your information and share it with legislators for anti money laundering purposes etc.

Having used pfsense for a good few years, we recently switched to Meraki.

We use Rackspace, AWS, Pair networks and a local VPS provider.
Anecdotally, I would say Rackspace has the most intuitive interface and good telephone support. They've just released new performance instances which are cheaper than AWS: $0.08/hr for 2 vCPUs, 2GB RAM and plenty of SSD vs $0.12/hr for AWS 2 vCPU m1.medium.
Our local VPS has fantastic customer service and we know each other by name.
Amazon has the real truly global infrastructure (Rackspace UK is a separate entity to US, ASIA) and Route 53 Anycast is outstanding.
We'll be trialling out Google Compute Engine to see how it fares.
For now I see Amazon for global DNS infrastructure, but I can't see Rackspace going anywhere.

I think it raises an interesting point: how many interesting links get overlooked because of poor titles? And how many titles are more interesting than the links?
Coming from a technical/academic background, good copy is not something that is emphasised - are we missing a trick?
Non-technical companies which do this tend not to apologise - it draws attention to the mistake which most of their (non-technical) customers never noticed in the first place.
I guess github doesn't qualify for the non-technical crowd :)
