If you work in marketing or advertising, you will see things differently and why google and meta to a certain extent are giants. Yes, Chatgpt can subtlely influence people but what matters more is how much roi you get on your spend if you are a marketing agency. You might run experiments and figure out how OAI ads will work but there is no way you will put up significant spend on GEO. In fact, most likely OAI will go some other mechanism than subtle nudge or influence because that will be godly more expensive and also extremely unethical. You are more like to see some sponsored links on each prompt or some crap like that where its easy to measure roi. Yes it will be a terrible waste of time since dedicated humans can do it faster and produce better stuff. I would prefer literature created like that instead of just random monkeys writing what they don't understand. My personal media library has over 600 moves and 70+ shows and around 8,000 books. There is no way I can watch and read all of it in my lifetime. But I do find joy in being a little librarian and I also care deeply about art and like to keep my own little nest. All of it is sharable with anyone i like anywhere in the world. I do use jellyfin but i don't think I have ever switched its theme though.

It's much more simple than that. You are not stealing their tabs, you are stealing/downloading their youtube videos which falls under copyright. Standard CLI version control tools like git diff, git log, or any built-in IDE diff viewer. Scrolling through a text summary of changes is inherently faster and more ergonomic than generating a 3D spatial visualization and watching an agent physically navigate through it.

I'm not sure what you mean. You also need to look at the whole environment and other factors than just "People just didn't feel they wanted to use it". In 1961, India was extremely poor and it has been until the 90s. Credit cards at that time did not solve any problem, people had no use for them and the culture of using it never grew as it did in the US but UPI gained acceptance because the country was doing much better and it was easy to use. That's what we were discussing.

You seem to either not have an understanding of ground reality (if your father was using Diners Club in the 60s, he was in the elite). But the system "being" there vrs the environment of the system actually being useful are different things. People did not reject credit cards at that time due to idealogical reasons, they rejected it because there was no point for them.

By the time, we stepped up in commerce, digital payments like UPI were easily available. This is why most people say we skipped the credit card phase and went straight to digital payments. Nobody is saying India did not have credit cards but look at adoption rates and the economic reality of India in the 60s to 90s and you will see many factors that prevented this that are not realated to the technolgy or idealogy at all.

It has everything to do with credit cards if you understand what the parent comment is saying. Credit card allowed people to use something else other than cash when internet banking/digital payments wasn't available and smartphones were not a thing. Their entire society adopted credit cards as a very normal way of payment even for everyday stuff since it offers convinence over cash and rewards.

Yes India got credit cards but it was not widespread and people did not use it as a daily thing since most stores/outlets did not have the card swiping system. UPI solved this problem very well since you just need a QR code and a valid bank account and no transaction charges making it perfect for day to day spending.

But the ground reality is that they don't lack tutors or educators. They lack classrooms, they lack infrastrucutre, they lack nutrition. Solving those problems will actually incrase literacy in the world, not an AI bot.
