This is pretty cool, dunno if I'd want to commit to a specific monitor brand to get this functionality though. My primary concerns with monitor selection are ports and color quality.
I have an old TrendNet KVM that I've used for years but it doesn't support Thunderbolt so it's getting a bit long in the tooth.
Apple IIs and Commodore VIC20 were my first exposure to computers as a kid. My elementary school had a lab of Apple IIs, played a good amount of Oregon Trail on it.

Their Elasticsearch cluster went down and it's taking forever to rebuild their index. They should really consider looking into some more modern alternatives for that layer of the application.
I'm interested to see where you land the project at post-GH. The platform has just not grown in the ways I had hoped and their reliability has been a real issue for awhile now.
I would hope they would prioritize stability and features that devs have been asking for but it seems like that is not where their focus is at.
This will be the first time Apple has had an engineer as CEO. I'm excited to see what this brings.

It's just been grift for a long time.
Matthias's suggestion about reframing the context of the purpose of the Rust language struck a chord with me. His post is building a bit off of Niko Matsakis's blog post about the same concept but goes a bit more in depth. There is a perception of Rust as being just a "systems programming" language when really it is a language for building "foundational software".
This feels unnecessary.
And still this administration is pushing for rate cuts.
My brain misinterpreted the title of this as "stylish rugs" so I was expecting something totally different.
Ads have been an arms race for awhile now. If ad creators stop making overly intrusive, CPU sucking ads then perhaps people would be less inclined to use ad-blockers.
I hope that this aesthetic has a revival.

If you hate it, don't torment yourself....make a business case to switch. Better developer productivity is a thing.
That is definitely an issue but it's easily worked around. You just have to close Xcode before switching branches.
It's not you, it is bad. It has been getting better. Developing with Jetpack Compose is a nearly a clone of the experience of building with SwiftUI in Xcode. Android Studio and the emulators are resource pigs still.

What is Searchcraft? It's a developer-focused SaaS platform for developers to quickly integrate a highly performant content search into their apps. We built it from the ground-up in Rust, so far the metrics are really promising and we're seeing far better performance for queries per second and concurrent connections than Elasticsearch, Aloglia and Typesense.
I work at a consultancy that does a lot of app builds for small companies/start-ups that need to add search quickly. The dev time to integrate the existing options like Elasticsearch take far too long. We believe developers should focus on building features that make their products great, not toiling away on building search. Search often times takes specialized knowledge to build properly and startups typically don't have the time and budget to dedicate to this. Having experience the pain of working with tools like Elasticsearch first hand, we knew we could built something with a better developer experience.
Our first version that we’ll be launching for our Alpha Pilot cohort will be a smaller subset of our features but we'll be giving away access to this for the first 1000 who sign up on the waitlist.
