It is acceptable if you want to look like the geekish guy in town (not to mention one of the luckiest). It is not ok if you wish to hookup, I cannot image a pickup line that starts... "hey Pamela, I did a reserve google image search of your face and found out that you use pretty neat lingerie" :/
Actually to me, the biggest takeaway from this is the fact that Google is killing online privacy by giving an easy bait to content marketers to publicly disclose their identity.
