I think what happened is a lot of people in our cohort figured out how to use the trolling techniques honed on forums and in flamewars on the general public. You can see it reflected across the web now in ways that have caused real, lasting damage.

One thing I'd like to see is a way to associate a data source with a channel. We create a channel for each of our clients, and it would be handy if Statsbot would know to display analytics from Client A when I mention it from Client A's channel.

Leaving a $200K position where you developed a network of people who's business it is to fund companies in two of the biggest tech environments in the country is hardly starting from the bottom.

If you need that much styling control over a text area, using a content editable region and Javascript for the interaction is almost certainly a better option.

Pricing is, admittedly, a pretty by-the-seat-of-our-pants kind of affair right now. We've tried to have pretty extensive conversations with our early users, assessed others in the space, and came up with something we think is reasonable. Time will tell, I suppose, if it'll need to be adjusted one way or the other.
