Yeah that's a great opinion and all but generally C is used because it HAS to be used these days. No one is going to use this code for building a web application or will be tossing it into legacy code.

Yup exactly. Haven't really found self-awareness yet. Still thinking your GPA means something, you and your parents will live forever and life is going to be great.

I'm coming off super cynical now, but this just feels like the product of the Twitter/everyone is a blogger mindset and I don't like where it's leading us.

These "conversations" used to happen in bars and the 60 year old regular would laugh this greenhorn out. Now, people just tell their stupid thoughts into the void and pat themselves on the back for expressing their feelings like their therapist told them to.

End rant.

That's what I'm saying.

I think I find these types of articles arrogant, or implying narcissism.

That he feels that anyone would find this tedium valuable is almost offensive to me lol. I'm just sick of seeing these kind of articles everywhere.

If there is something to be learned in your 20s, it's that you aren't special, your likely average, and your experiences aren't new or unique.

Live your life in your own way, but for YOURSELF, because no one gives a shit.

Who is this? Why do I care? I'm sorry, but the amount of absolute tripe people post on the internet is absolutely baffling to me.

I don't give two shits about some 20 year olds ideas with absolutely no credentials. Who wants to read this crap? I don't get it.

Big data is dead 3 years ago

I mean, that makes sense does it not? If you're confirming something people already had a hunch about, why would they challenge it? And if it does go against their belief, they are going to want to make sure the data is correct before they change the course of the ship.

It's not that simple though. I'm an IT Director. A good chunk of my time is just thinking and not doing. It's impossible to measure the amount of work I do in a day because I'm thinking about stuff when I shower, or am walking the dog etc. Do I sit at my laptop 8 hours a day? Fuck no. Do I work 8 hours a day? Probably, but it's hard to say. I can't say "I worked for 9.5 hours today" because it's impossible to measure.

That's backwards. You mix, and then master to your format. When you master to vinyl, you inherently lose data because the needle will pop off the track if it's too loud or there's too much bass. You literally don't have to do anything like that when you master for digital. You just make it sound good and you're done.

Fuck no. Vinyl is inferior to modern digital media in every single measurable way. I cannot believe this myth won't fucking die! You literally have to roll off the low end in a vinyl master so the needle doesn't pop off the track ffs. Not to mention the vinyl literally wears down every time you play the record.

No, synthesizers and guitar pedals are as much computers as a trumpet. "It translates the lip movement through the horn and amplifies the sound, thusly it's multiplying and therefore a computer!"

That is stretching the definition of a computer to absurdity, sorry.
