It is not supposed to be readable by humans. You rarely have to look at it. It is designed to not get confused with the actual content, where the content can be any random text from the internet. For that, you have to use a format that is not used anywhere else.

The unevenly sized arrow keys still prevent me from buying any of it.
I recently discovered https://www.cozodb.org/ which also vector search built-in. I just started some experiments with it but so far I'm quite impressed. It's not in active development atm but it seems already well rounded for what it is so depending on the use-case it does not matter or may even be an advantage. Also with today's coding agent it shouldn't be too hard to scratch your own itch if needed.
I like this approach for Nix: https://dev.to/andersonjoseph/how-i-run-llm-agents-in-a-secu... It makes it also easy to give the agent only access to the tools it actually needs.
It would be even better if the day/night counter would be visualized as a colored shifting slider.
Are there any current language REPLs that have save/restore session state commands?
cleared of inflation energy costs are lower than 2013, 12 years ago
Dude, soaring energy prices are driving inflation. That's like saying the prices are lower if you just keep ignoring everything that actually makes them more expensive. Duh.
There is also a related youtube video online: Ali Behrouz of Google Research explaining his poster paper entitled "Nested Learning: The Illusion of Deep Learning Architecture" at NeurIPS 2025. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uX12aCdni9Q
This is really cool! If I were to work on it, I would make the light source a bouncing ball or something similar (maybe even a fish or a bird) via some 2D physics next.
Same as rat poison, coming 2026...
This is all very interesting, but far too detailed and technical for 99% of people. The TLDR should include an easy to understand summary without jargon like "VO2" and "a set of HIIT at Zone 4".
Depends on the region. Often there are smaller regional companies providing fiber internet. Prices for these fiber connections a still somewhat higher than the cheapest vodafone tier, but you also get better service for your money.
If you believe that price equals quality, the fact that Switzerland is an order of magnitude richer than Peru - and considerably richer than the US - might make all the difference.
I am all for crediting humans and I don't particularly fancy all the anthropomorphising myself. However rubbing it in now feels similarly pointless as suggesting the US should switch to metric.
Both is equally important, just in another dimension.
If someone discovers anything, it does not change anything if someone else could have discovered it theoretically as well?
My brain now reads Sam's face as an "AI generated" watermark.
Wouldn't the cache over time also be filled up with irrelevant and redundant information?
Project page says it runs on top of the kernel. What is the intended use case? Embedded?
currently reading through the tutorial. don't have much experience with coq, lean and friends, but this looks like a nice language to get started with formal proofs.
The tutorial explains the language in much more detail: https://litexlang.com/doc/Tutorial/Introduction
It is more likely that the author is not a native english speaker (project author seems to be chinese) and may have used some tool to help with the translation.
Sure. It's never my fault if I do a shitty job at X. I just did not receive proper training in advance.

well, at least everyone can work on reducing their own personal dependence on natural gas
Loved the "fancy calculator" part. Even more fitting than "stochastic parrot".
it's really good until it isn't and you can't tell the difference
chatgp did much more than that. it gave the user a direct hint how to circumvent the restriction: "i cannot discuss suicide unless ..." further chatgpt repeatedly discouraged the user from talking to his parents about any of this. that's on top of all the sycophancy of course. making him feel like chatgpt is the only one who truly understands him and excoriating his real relationships.
Is there an option to increase the font size? The text is unreadably small on my 28" 4k display.
chatgpt is barely usable at all anyhow atm. The amount of complete garbage responses gpt-5 is giving me is mind-boggling. just today it ran into an infinite loop of endless printout again by a completely innocuous query. I honestly cannot understand how its stock is still where it's at.
