A lot of the reason why concrete structures have failed so quickly is that the material was still fairly new when most of the structures failing now were created. There’s nothing that says that well designed and constructed modern high performance polymer modified concretes will have the same problems. They also have additives like zypex paste that make it more waterproof and self healing. They also have permeable formwork liners for increasing the surface density of the concrete and chemical concrete hardeners etc.

My understanding is that it is not mesh, it’s Gaussian Splatting. There are tools to convert Splats into mesh though.

I live in South Australia and I feel like public toilets are ubiquitous and still increasing in number. Mostly they are either accessible or have a separate accessible toilet. The only exception to this is in areas where they have public social issues. My mum is a little bit financial about toilets so she always struggles when overseas. We even have small self cleaning toilets at the small playgrounds in the suburbs. It would be interesting to understand why we ended up like this.

And now, only a few years on, the FTTN is already slowly getting replaced at great expense making the FTTN a colossal waste of money. Turnbull knew better as other places on earth already tried FTTN and removed it. The cost of putting power to all the nodes was excessive and ongoing power bills eventually expensive too. FTTP was passive at the nodes. The only argument was that it was planned to be a quicker rollout which didn’t eventuate either. Total shit show.

Should probably note that most people cant get 100/40, are on ADSL3.5 (VDSL2) and the NBN Co only guarantee 25/5... for $51 bn. The network was already antiquated before they even began building it and will need to spend another $51bn right away to install labours FTTH. Their pipe dreams about 5G saving the day are rubbish. Its so bad some politician thought it reasonable to charge the AU ppl $35k/yr for his internet bill at home(4G + over data). /sigh

Has constructive interference of multiple low frequency sound sources been considered? It could be that they are all undetectable on their own but cause localized areas to have a much higher amplitude sound? I guess reflections of the sounds in the right areas could have a similar effect?

I see the problem being that if net neutrality disappears it gives the internet companies good reason to slow down the internet generally so that the content providers need to purchase the speed ups. Investment in general network throughput will reduce profit from fast lane sales and so big companies will reduce investment in their networks outside of fast lanes. Cost flows down the tree. We are already paying for the internet... does it make sense to pay twice? This is why I think no consumer should be for the axing of the net neutrality rules. In general this is bad for everyone. Its like creating an energy market... It leads to people reducing generation capacity and prices sky rocketing while service/quality reduces. Good for the ownership class bad for humanity.
