Very sad to see this company greedy move. From an excellent unique B2C app which could have got an excellent future, to a B2B API. Worst thing is that they ignored the loyal users and they didn’t say anything about the future of the app or cared about the people who already paid

Try to send some big amount of money internationally and you will see why crypto is the future. With regular banks it takes days, weeks and many times months due to intermediate banks, AML questions, reviews, etc and have very high costs associated for simple transfers of money hardly earned.

With cryptocurrencies it takes seconds or minutes and no questions asked with very low fees

Also I wonder if your service works well with businesses sending several millions per month or the KYC nightmare will start then. Why bank websites remove the ability to paste? You have already copied the text when you realize you cannot paste. So what is the point? Writing things by hand are prone to errors and if your clipboard is poisoned you have already copied the stuff by the time you realize you cannot paste…

I've been thinking about this idea for years, both audio and/or video. But no company seems to be interested on this. All small recorders I can find have short duration batteries and store the contents on the device so you have to keep manually offloading the files every X hours.

You are lucky. I haven’t been able to use Ticketmaster for 2 years because all IPs from my ISP are blocked as bots. Contacted their support on Twitter and they told me the only way to use their site is to change my ISP as even the VPNs I tried are blocked. Been in product hunt since it was invite only beta. Things have changed a lot. In the beginning it was a community about hunting great products and nice discoveries.

Nowadays is about paying hunters with a lot of followers to post your products and asking all your network to upvote your product to brag about how you made it to top X of Product Hunt.

The posting about nice products of the internet and discovering them is now gone. If you try to publish something because you found it online and want to share it with the community, but you don’t have a network of people to “fakely” upvote it, the product will be hidden at the bottom and nobody will see it.

Discovery and community are gone.

We had the same problem some months ago with Mailgun. They blocked our account after many years using them without apparent reason or prior notice and took them 2 days to unblock it, leaving our thousands of clients stranded without receiving any of our transactional emails.

Lesson learnt, always keep a backup for crucial services and move away from Mailgun

Also you have to consider the amount of work, time and money that you will save by not maintaining your own system to avoid blocks and bans from the websites you are trying to crawl. With them you just call an API endpoint and you don't have to care about all that

I've been using it for around 3-4 months with different sites. For linkedin it's been a bit more than 2 months. They are a good startup and they've been improving a lot their services. They only count successful requests so you don't have to worry about fails. If you get a bigger package they will raise your limits I guess. But I suggest that you contact them directly

yes I also had to contact them in the past to activate linkedin scraping. Now it's perfect without blocks :)
