Clearly no, because Vala has a bunch of issues with memory safety. Not because it's a bad language, but since it translates directly to GObject, there is a lot of problems around pointers, ownership, ... mainly because that language lacks maintainers and GTK/Gimp developers didn't like it because they are "C essentialists".

1/ it's easy to publish a library to NPM, anybody can do it

2/ Node.js has a barebone standard library for server purposes, in fact you can't parse a multi-part POST request without using a package or writing your own.

3/ while the browser has a big API surface, state management and working with the DOM is a big pain when writing UI, so some kind of helper is often needed.

People here forget that typescript is both a language and a static code analyzer for Javascript. You don't have to use Typescript syntax to use. You can write plain old Javascript and still use Typescript compiler to make sens of your code.

You can't do that with ReasonML, you are forced to adopt another language that is not Javascript.

It's not a fad, it's based on JS.net and Actionscript (ES4) syntax that existed well before Ecma Script 5 existed. Microsoft has been iterating over Typescript for about 20 years.

That's irrelevant. My point is that no bias is eliminated at first place, since the algorithm is still man made. You could argue that since there is no human intervention the same input would lead to the same output, but again, neither you or I have read the code to claim that it is somehow "bias free" or even completely deterministic, especially if the input relies on computer vision.

Well, you can ask for "moral damages" and the judge might grant you these damages in Europe, I'm pretty sure the bar is also quite low for these. If you are from US keep in mind that million dollars damage verdicts are rather uncommon in Europe for individuals. That's the trade off. So judges might grant the suing party "moral damages" much more easily as a counter part. Of course it varies from country to country. IANAL.

Damages require proof. Unless they can show they lost something because of the mistake, then there are no damages.

You're basing your understanding of slander/libel on US laws I presume? If that person lives in Europe, generally, the bar for a successful lawsuit is __extremly low__ , it only requires the information to be blatantly false, there is no need to demonstrate the victim incurred any damages.
