Ah, so uBOL does have the ability to adjust the blocking level on a per-site basis, which is what I assumed "per-site switches" meant. I see now that the original uBO has/had a more granular level of configuration available. (Which I suspect most folks never used, but still... my bad there.)
FWIW uBlock Origin Lite (the MV3 version of uBlock Origin) seems pretty much just as good, at least to me.

I don't use a ton of custom filters or rulesets though, so YMMV.

These aren't accurate. My version of uBOL in Chrome (2025.718.1921) has these features.
The biggest are that not all filtering capabilities are supported in MV3 and that the filter lists are only updated when the extension itself is updated. More details in the uBOL FAQ:

I use Supercharge for this. Creates a new text file with ⌥+N. Lots of other handy tweaks as well.
IIRC Finder has an option to delete files from the Trash 30 days after they're put there. I just enable that option and forget about the Trash completely.

This app is hardly better than what you describe though: you still need to install it on all your devices and configure it. Seems hardly any easier than just downloading a pre-made profile from the repo I linked above and installing it. shrug To each their own I guess.

I was able to get my LG oven to stop broadcasting it's network by downloading LG's app, temporarily connecting the oven to my phone's hotspot, then just renaming the hotspot SSID.
Now, my oven does not broadcast it's own WiFi, and instead will forever be trying to connect to a non-existent network.

As soon as I figure out how to export playlists in a aay that I can import to apple music, I'm gone.
SongShift[0] is the gold standard for doing this I believe, so much so that Apple is beta testing an integration with it.[1]

+1 for Castro. I can't believe more podcast apps haven't caught on to how handy the email-like metaphor is for managing episodes.
I want to listen to some, but not all episodes that come in via my various feeds, so having an "inbox" of sorts from which I can either download or discard shows seems like the only reasonable way to handle things IMHO. I don't understand apps that just download everything or, like Overcast, mess around with playlists.

I've been considering a switch from 1Password to KeepassXC myself, but the last time I tried it, I couldn't find if KeepassXC has some equivalent to the "quick access" feature of 1Password.[0] In short, a way to open a small window, search for a service name or URL, and then quickly copy username, password, or a TOTP code. As far as I could tell, I had to open the entire KeepassXC app every time to find something. Has this changed, or did I miss something somehow?
Is there any software out there that can reliably identify screenshots.
Google Photos. Their web interface has a special section where it collects screenshots[0], or at least what it thinks are screenshots. It's not perfect, but is better than nothing.
If you're in the U.S. and want to see one of these, there's one on Washington Island in Door County, Wisconsin.[0] There may be others, I was just reminded of this one since I visited it this past summer.
I also have a TCL Roku TV and NextDNS. In the last 30 days, just over 16k connections to scribe.logs.roku.com have been blocked.
Maybe your TV is a little overactive for some reason? 50k in a day almost makes it seem like something is broken somehow.
I believe the "x-nananana: Batcache" header is included on some/all WordPress sites hosted by Automattic. "curl -I https://automattic.com/" returns it as well.

I work at Automattic (makers of P2) and even we don't use it as a replacement for Slack. What P2 replaces for us is all internal email.
In fact, we use Slack quite heavily ourselves, for any real-time/synchronous discussions. P2 is for non-realtime/async discussions, and more or less serves as the "paper of record" for the company.

Not all, strictly speaking. I see one Powecom mask listed under the "Respirator Assessment Results Considered as Counterfeit and/or Misuse of Company Name" section of the CDC's site [0]. Open the link, scroll down to that heading, click on the "G" tab, then Cmd+F for "Guangzhou Powecom Labor Insurance Supplies" and you'll see it.
That said, I suspect it was maybe just a slightly sub-standard batch. The minimum filtration efficiency was still >93%, not anywhere near as bad as some others on that list. I still plan on buying the Powecom KN95s from Bona Fide Masks in the future. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm wondering if there's any benefit to the average tech-savvy person to using Tailscale/ZeroTier as a VPN (with a VPS, say) vs. just using a consumer-facing VPN like Mullvad or whatever.
