how does logrocket handle things like data transmission over slower/non-wifi connections?

It's basically already here (in the form of a plugin): https://www.jetbrains.com/rust/ I've been enjoying it quite a bit.

I needed a tool like this where I could host the server myself (inside the corp. network) and I realized it would be valuable to have unified CLI that works both with hosted and self-hosted servers.

Got it. Currently this use case is not supported on the same subdomain, but you could definitely open up two different tunnels (on different subdomains) to do this. Definitely not ideal, so we'll look into adding support for this.

Thanks for the feedback. Full transparency our only documentation is the website, dashboard, and of course mainly the --help flag in the CLI. Part of this is because we've kept the first release very minimal and simple, so there's not so much to document (yet).

To answer your questions here though,

- multiple ports on the same domain: currently no, but this is definitely on the list.

- https tunneling: we enforce TLS on all subdomains and handle that for you via a wildcard cert. We actually don't support non-https currently (and may never if there's no demand for it).

You could effectively block the network connectivity for them though by mapping domains to 127.0.0.1. Why wouldn't that be just as good? nextdns.io does a really good job of running such a service.

What about a DNS based approach on iOS? You don't need MDM, just a VPN extension. You could send push notifications when your DNS server detects a site to block and mimic the same UX you have with a browser extension.

I believe you can have the airdrop tool [0] output the raw bytes that you need to sign with your private key. Still not fool proof but makes it more transparent what you're actually doing with the key.
