Snobol4! I keep a couple of books like Snobol4 programming and my C64 Reference Guide around to remind the kids that the history of computing was old even when I started. It's surprising reading through those older texts and languages how little things have changed other than the speed of computation and connectivity of computer networks.

The blog post was probably literally written in and hosted entirely on open source software which were highly innovative at their earlier stages and continue to be highly innovative. This is a very self-serving presentation of an idea. Also, I officially dislike the word innovation.

The Kafka subreddit is good for chuckles because at least once a month someone happens by who is looking for help with their deployment. It's a Kafkaesque loop.
