Sad, I liked that ChatGPT had a native app on macOS. I don’t understand why OpenAI and Anthropic have to rely on vending universal apps when their whole MO is code being dirt cheap.

Just canceled my subscription! I immediately received an email with the subject “We’d love your feedback on why you canceled your ChatGPT plus subscription” and a link to a survey.

As far as I’m aware, Xfinity fiber customers have to use the provided “Xfinity Wi-Fi Gateway” and cannot enable bridge mode.

In my much shorter 5 years, I’ve seen devs exclusively using Apple hardware.

And in my team, our dev environment has become increasingly local!

Now that porting between MVNOs with eSIM is free and dead simple, I can’t think of a reason to stick with the big 3 carriers.

The MVNO I stuck with even has a slick way to port between networks!

They do also charge (dearly) for usage.

I’m a huge fan of Raycast for everything.

The AI plugin included in the Raycast Pro subscription [0] can be configured with some neat “improve writing on whatever is highlighted” features.

Apple News+ is trying to be that. I get it through my Apple One family plan.

The home page is shamefully Trump spam and tabloid garbage, but the magazine section isn’t terrible. I read The Atlantic and The New Yorker frequently on it.

I wish headlights + taillights were required to be always on, or at least on by default.

The VPCSB [0] had a switch at the top that could manually switch between integrated graphics for better battery, or discrete graphics for better performance. It always felt cool turning it on before gaming.

Many people buy a car for safety, which ends up making the road even more dangerous!

Anecdotal, but since I started cycling I’ve noticed an absurd amount of cars have license plate tabs that have been expired for years. There’s even a Porsche Taycan in my apartment that’s been driving without plates for over a year.

It doesn’t seem like registration is enforced in any meaningful way.

Visible is great, but struggles with moving service between phones. I was told it would take at least a week to move from iPhone to iPhone (both eSIM!).

In my experience, US Mobile (not to be confused with US Cellular) is every bit as good as Visible, but has better customer support.
