This won't affect the price of vinyl. Most CD buyers just don't want a bunch of lawyers ruining their collection as happens on the different services from time to time. Ripping a CD to mp3s and sticking them on a thumb drive is easier than with vinyl, but vinyl has its own tactile experience.

Brushless motors are popular now, but if you get the cheaper cordless tools they'll still have brushed motors. I have some Black & Decker 20V ones that do it. They tend to have less torque but I don't need Milwaukee or Makita tools just for diy around the house.

The modern choices are accompanied by ads and gambling, to the point that it wouldn't be surprising if Final Fantasy 6 was seeing an uptick. Go enjoy your "modern" games all you like, but it doesn't always matter if a games community is growing, especially if it's not one requiring connectivity to blast ads and skins at people.

I haven't tried the support for the C or C++ compilers targeting the C64, but that would set you up for developing with the C64 as a target in a modern environment.

If you're wanting it to be on the C64 Ultimate itself, maybe we'll all be in luck in a year or two.

If you have a workplace (not just a manager or even a set of them but an entire organization or subset thereof) that is allergic to punishing people then it's easier and less headache inducing to just tell everyone to use a particular framework with a set of customizations to maintain some semblance of unity. This is true if large teams and small "teams" that are overburdened with lots of disparate projects.

I don't know how many of you need to read this but no one is stopping you from doing any of this. Putting aside cultural friction and being thought a bunch of quacks, you could just start doing these things. There's no real authority telling anyone that they can't despite what some people believe. Just do it!
