It's activated by clicking the icon or by using a keyboard shortcut (cmd+shit+x). So there is at least one single way to close any overlay on any website.

No need to be ashamed, French politicians are far better than US ones. It's not the US politicians who have built Google. As US have concentred all the money, Europe's companies have hard time investing in some technology that will not yield revenue immediately. Google got its first revenue few years after its foundation, that's impossible for a EU based company. Europe should create more conditions for its startups, otherwise no new technology will come out Europe.

You should give prismic.io a spin. You basicaly define data format in as JSON, CRUD interface is generated just from data description. The data you you add is also JSON you can easily retrive. You can query the data with predicates. Did a few projects with it, didn't need a database, or create a CRUD, such a relive.

It's easy to depack even the packer's "Base 64 encode", just replace the eval function with a call to console.log for example, and you will have your original code.

Jsnice doesn't exceutes eval as it's doing statical analysis ie. without executing the programs.

There's always someone with a bigger pipe. I'm speaking here about a small size DDoS (<1GB/s) and not the CloudFlare 40GB/s flood.

What exactly does that entail, technically? Smells like snake oil to me. At least the simple SYN flood and UDP flood. The atacker in question couldn't have anything sophisticated.

Cloudflare is only for HTTP and internet is more than just HTTP.

I had a irc server for my friends, one of not-so-friendly visitors told me that the server will get down, and it went down. I lost ping to my server, CPU & the bandwidth were all at 100%. The support told me that I should use another company. I went to a company that has DDoS protection http://www.online.net/

I find it unacceptable that you can be DDoSed so easily, it's like we're still in 90'.. DDoS protection should be something ubiquitous for small power servers like VPS, otherwise it's trivial to get them down.

An Anti-DDoS protection ! That's a god-send ! I had a terrible experience recently with Digital-Ocean. A VPS of mine with a fresh launched project was knocked down with some basic ddos attack. The support nodded and pointed to use CloudFlare. My server was down and they didn't do anything, that really sucks, you can't use a VPS without a DDos protection for anything serious. It can go down anytime when some script-kiddie opens a hunder of sockets.

It's really sad that DDoS protection didn't become ubiquitous yet. It's unacceptable that you can get down a server, even VPS with not-so-much bandwidth. All VPS have limited number of sockets and resources and it's trivial to knock them down. Absence of a DDoS protection makes them extremely vulnerable.

When downloading requires you to login, you absolutely need all the cookies even if you download it to your server first.

In this case, "Copy cURL" of a request from Chrome's Developer Tools is priceless.

There is dstat missing from the list. It's a tool that shows the information of vmstat, iostat, netstat and ifstat in a clearer and with colors ;)

I use it primarly to see the used bandwidth in real-time. It's better than ifstat for that job.

A very useful curl switch that I discovered, resume of partially downloaded file ! -C or --continue-at <offset>. When offset is "-", curl will use the output file to figure out the offset.

curl -C - -o "some_file"

It will basically get the size of "some_file" and use it as an offset when making the HTTP request, similar to wget --continue.

Very useful to download a file from a unreliable network and when you need all those security cookies. To get the cookies I use "Copy cURL" from Network pane of Chrome's "Developer tools".

We had a similar situation in Republic of Moldova in 2009, an ex-USSR country near Ukraine, a so called twitter-revolution, one of the first of them. [1]

We are much smaller and less population but the tactics used in Ukraine reminds me of the events Moldova but on a bigger scale. So called "titushki" are the instigators that are infiltrating among peaceful protesting population with the intention to compromise the entire movement and to discredit the protest.

Students were tortured by the police for months after the protests begun. Students that participated in the protests were kidnapend from the dormitory. [2] Those slides of Ukraine are not at all surpising.

I must say, the tactics of the instigators were very effective in our country. The result was burning of the house of parliament [3]. All the blame was on protesters, it basically discredited the protesters calling them vandals and thefts (as some of them have stolen some furniture). We believe that instigators and the police who gave up surprisingly easy were cooperating, and that they burned up and destroyed documents from parliament themselves.

I'm very glad that in Ukraine they are better prepared. I have very much sympathy with the protesters in Ukraine as the Russian influence in the region is still very much present. Russian is still defending it's interests and it makes us angry. You must understand that a country very rich in petrol and all kind of minerals have a great deal of influence when massively sponsoring parties of their interest and putting pressure with their own army in Transnistria that they left after collapse of USSR. [4]

There is also a big problem with russian population that stayed on our territory and continue to have the USSR values. And more of all, they continue to believe that they don't need to learn the local language. It's a mess. That's why it's so much fight between populations and shady people profiting of this situation.

I had the same question. After researching a bit, I found that you have multiple wrappers that you can use. One of them is file:// another is php://. I wonder if the php:// one is available in HipHop.

It's even worse than that. There is Russian army that occupied a portion of Moldova called Transnitria. Time to time they are trying to escalate the situation, like trying to take control of neighbour village, or killing some local people when some of their military is getting drunk on new year eve, this very scary for us. The same strategy applied to Moldova. But we had even less luck than Latvia&Baltics as we are the "the fastest skrinking country" [1], lot of young people and those who can emigrate are going abroad, as the post-soviet era didn't left much of viable bussines and we had to start from scratch with not so much money and neither much know-how. (for soviets Moldova was labeled as an agriculture country).

And if the soviet era was not enough, Russians didn't stop there, the military aggression continued, they occupied a portion of Moldova creating an enclave called Transnistria. [2]

Our asspiration to get into Europe Union are meet with economical embargo from the same annoying neighbour. (and not only us, everyone one the Russian boarded is harassed) [3] It's hard but we are evolving, but not as fast as as we would like..

It's hard to hide, but the Russia is really a very unfortunate neighbour to have. Really happy to see Baltics doing better after so much misfortune that we share..

You also have deluge-console a console client to connect to deluge server.

And it's a lot easier to use than rtorrent that has some insane shortcuts you will never remember.

You don't even need tmux/screen as with rtorrent/aria2c, just connect with deluge-console whenever you want, it's deluge server that is doing everything in background.
