I'm a specialist in IAM, DevOps, and SRE with 4 years of background in designing and building large-scale systems. My interest lies in exploring new solutions to infrastructure reliability and scalability issues.

I currently work at CERN in their IAM team where we use Keycloak as our SSO system; my work involves DevOps, building CI/CD pipelines, and Linux SysAdmin. Prior to this, I have worked with Computer Security, Computer Vision, and ML. I'm looking for a role where I can learn new technologies, do problem solving, and get some leadership experience.

A recent CS grad who worked at CERN in computer security and did two Google Summer of Code projects, in C++ (Boost) and Python (Open Astronomy).

My preference is to work at a startup that aims to solve a challenging problem, preferably in the automotive, AI, or medical industry.

I love blogging (https://adl1995.github.io), open-source software, and automation; I recently published a tool for planning trip itinerary (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=21335366).

I've worked at CERN and took part in the Google Summer of Code program for 2 years.

I'm looking for an exciting role (preferably related with open-source or AI) which explores an innovative idea.

I do use Saved Places but only for storing bus terminals, Airbnbs addresses, etc. Google My Maps has the advantage of grouping places by a column (e.g. rating, reviews) and modifying icons based on the place type (which I frequently use). It also doesn't clutter the maps with landmarks (they only show up when the map is selected).

1. For me all layers are enabled by default when I load a map on the Maps application

2. I agree that this is quite annoying. The workaround I found was to add the missing information in the CSV file which then shows up in My Maps

Having said that, there are still tons of features missing from My Maps, e.g. each layer can have a limited number of places and there's no API to import the CSV file programmatically. There's a pretty hectic list of feature requests here: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues?q=google%20my%20maps%...

I've been working at CERN for the past year. Prior to that I took part in the Google Summer of Code program for 2 years.

I'm looking for an exciting role (either a full-time job or an internship) which explores an innovative idea in any industry.
