While I enjoyed your story, it's quite ignorant to ask people to be wary of "Nigerians in general". NOT every Nigerian is a scammer so making such a statement is unnecessary. There are many hard working Nigerians around the world.

Interesting piece and makes sense. It pretty much embodies what lean is all about but in a way that works for people who might now know what lean is but understand what lean attempts to do

Starbucks was once a "new experience" for people who enjoy their coffee now. You paid to try it for the first time whenever you did....unless of course, you tried it via some free Starbucks promotion, liked it and then became a paid customer.

I don't think it's broken. I just personally feel the information should be displayed better. Email just needs a better UI/UX. For example, Microsoft did a great job with the outlook interface, it's still the same old email and I can pretty much do everything I can do with Gmail with it but I signed up because the UI looks much better. I don't feel so "bombarded" when I log in

I agree, pre-launch sign-ups are important but there needs to be engagement with the emails collected until the product is ready. Fab did a great job with this by creating a mood board that allowed folks to post stuff they like before their actual service launched.
