Another potential synergy for bodybuilding is that these GLP1 drugs ought to help maintain insulin sensitivity in the face of supraphysiological doses of HGH. Specifically I have the impression that tirzepatide and retrarutide are more effective here than semaglutide, as they possess additional mechanisms of aiding glucose disposal.

The reason we know Niels van der Poel's training in such detail is because he wrote a manifesto about it, "How to Skate a 10k", when he retired (after winning gold and setting the WR). He did his base aerobic phase primarily on bicycle, writing:
My target developed during the summer of 2021 to reach 33h of cycling weekly. I would aim to do three 7h bike rides and two 6h rides. If I would’ve been able to run, which I wasn’t due to injury, I would have lowered the hours a little and settled for 25h weekly (or approx. 30h if I would’ve combined running and cycling).
33h at 240 watts, about 28k calories/week!
It is a fascinating read for anyone interested in endurance sports, highly recommended: https://www.howtoskate.se/
Yeah, I've found the same problem (with a standing desk): as soon as I need to concentrate I stop maintaining my cadence. Maybe it's something I could train myself out of but I haven't been worried about it; cycling is my "productive" thing, I don't need to double it.
So far I've just been using the (open source!) app Auuki to drive my smart trainer while I stream television. Works great on NixOS. https://auuki.com/
I am curious to hear about what games people are playing while cycling (other than Zwift, of course.)
These same companies that manufacture and distribute BPC-157 and bodybuilding drugs already also offer various GLP1 drugs, semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide. Google around and you can find them available for much cheaper via grey market vendors.
You can say the same thing about video games. We had a moral panic over those, too.
And who wouldn't love to live in their "Depression"
The Japanese are committing suicide at higher rates than Americans[1], and a million of them have chosen to live as shut-ins rather than participate in society.[2] They're also not having children. Maybe that's your utopia but it sure isn't mine.

Even supposing that it's not happening in South Africa (ANC leaders are just singing about doing it [1]), land appropriation very much happened in neighboring Zimbabwe: "By 2013, every white-owned farm in Zimbabwe had been either expropriated or confirmed for future redistribution." [2]
To bring us back to OP's question, property rights in Ghana are listed here [3] as "weak".

Labor participation rates and wages remain low.
Oh, do you think the right is going to improve upon the US's current system of incentivizing/forcing families to fight over/make big sacrifices for homes in the wealthiest school districts in order to give their children a half-decent shot at a good education?
Yes? Ever heard of school vouchers? The political right would love to reform the education system, from teachers unions to university professors, the entrenched interests are core Democrat voting blocs.
It's also produced Singapore.
Neat! I have a similar page I put up at 10k cards. We should be friends

Ah, yes, of course--sex differences reach only as far as the shoulders and no further!
So, in a nutshell, the System's neatest trick is this:
- For the sake of its own efficiency and security, the System needs to bring about deep and radical social changes to match the changed conditions resulting from technological progress.
- The frustration of life under the circumstances imposed by the System leads to rebellious impulses.
- Rebellious impulses are co-opted by the System in the service of the social changes it requires; activists "rebel" against the old and outmoded values that are no longer of use to the System and in favor of the new values that the System needs us to accept.
- In this way rebellious impulses, which otherwise might have been dangerous to the System, are given an outlet that is not only harmless to the System, but useful to it.
- Much of the public resentment resulting from the imposition of social changes is drawn away from the System and its institutions and is directed instead at the radicals who spearhead the social changes.

My apps are always on and I restart my laptop like once per month, otherwise it’s in standby all the time. Such reliably is unheard of with the Linux desktop.
Bullshit. I'm at 42 days on a ThinkPad running Void Linux.

Hey, man, can you drop me an email at robbpseaton at gmail dot com? I have some questions about what sort of initial structure you'd choose to build on your land if you were to do it all over again. I'm interested in doing something similar.
For an interesting/insane/revolutionary application of this technology, check out Robin Hanson's futarchy[1], a theoretical governance structure which would use prediction markets to make decisions.
I bought a Huawei Honor 7x two months ago, and was happy with it until a software update went out that bricked mobile data on my device.
Factory resetting the device doesn't fix it (nor messing with APN settings), so I looked into flashing a ROM onto it to see if that'd do it, only to discover that Huawei has taken down the service which allowed customers to unlock their devices's bootloader. Now you have to contact support and wait for them to email you an unlock code. This is clearly a user hostile move: it makes it harder to load your own software on a device you purchased and, in my case, fix my own device.
I won't be buying from Huawei again.
I have the opposite impression, that the grazing of cows on this land is beneficial as it mimics the role the buffalo formerly played.
Indeed, he should stick to his own race! /s
Seriously, the rhetoric around dating foreign women is absurd. Gross and exploitative? A consensual relationship? /Really?/
Compare, for instance, the socially mandated opinions we're supposed to hold around adopting a child from a foreign country versus "mail-ordering" a bride. Most of the moral arguments for the former apply just as much toward the latter, yet the latter is "gross and exploitative"--why?
Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the first is associated with movie stars while the second is mostly low-status men?
I have been collecting mystic quotes in the same vein.[1] This one, from Bernadette Roberts, is my favorite:
There is a silence within, a silence that descends from without; a silence that stills existence and a silence that engulfs the entire universe. There is a silence of the self and its faculties of will, thought, memory, and emotions. There is a silence in which there is nothing, a silence in which there is something; and finally, there is the silence of no-self and the silence of God. If there was any path on which I could chart my contemplative experiences, it would be this ever-expanding and deepening path of silence.
Also misleading. An IQ of 200 vs 130 is just one kind of difference between intelligences. For example, a person with IQ 200 can't necessarily consider 10x the amount of possibilities than 130, but an artificial intelligence can, simply by giving it 10x more computing power. In other words, IQ 130 vs 200 may well be within the limits of human capabilities, but AIs would not have those limitations, they can scale differently, and so might explode.
It is also false. There's heaps of evidence that IQ correlates with impact. For the skeptical, gwern has written a lot about this, I'm sure you can find something here: https://www.gwern.net/iq
Your response however typifies one reason I'd never call myself a Georgist -- people who call themselves such come off as believing they've discovered the single truth that obtains social salvation, ie religious nuts -- who need to dump that single truth on people they encounter at the first opportunity. Seriously, if you want to be effective, and I want you to be, please tone it down.
What? Of places to share one's enthusiasm for Georgism, there are few more appropriate than in an internet thread about a Georgist town they're a resident of, after explcitly being asked for references.

An excellent opportunity to re-read PG's essay, "What You Can't Say". [1]
"What scares me is that there are moral fashions too. They're just as arbitrary, and just as invisible to most people. But they're much more dangerous. Fashion is mistaken for good design; moral fashion is mistaken for good. Dressing oddly gets you laughed at. Violating moral fashions can get you fired, ostracized, imprisoned, or even killed."
Indeed, this is the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect:
"Media carries with it a credibility that is totally undeserved. You have all experienced this, in what I call the Murray Gell-Mann Amnesia effect. (I call it by this name because I once discussed it with Murray Gell-Mann, and by dropping a famous name I imply greater importance to myself, and to the effect, than it would otherwise have.)
Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect works as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murray’s case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward-reversing cause and effect. I call these the “wet streets cause rain” stories. Paper’s full of them.
In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story-and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read with renewed interest as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about far-off Palestine than it was about the story you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.
That is the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect. I’d point out it does not operate in other arenas of life. In ordinary life, if somebody consistently exaggerates or lies to you, you soon discount everything they say. In court, there is the legal doctrine of falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus, which means untruthful in one part, untruthful in all.
But when it comes to the media, we believe against evidence that it is probably worth our time to read other parts of the paper. When, in fact, it almost certainly isn’t. The only possible explanation for our behavior is amnesia."
The kernel has been buildable with clang for some time now.
