interesting read. yes native can't be beated especially if we conside loadtime, animations, api support. the only reason for me to go non native would be the cross platform compatibility. however the cost of compatibility is much less over the performance.

Hackpad is wonderful. We use it as a quick tool to discuss our ideas. It's more readable, gives a proper track of changes, and is effective. Having known that it has gone open source makes feel even better.

However, didn't Dropbox bought Hackpad earlier ?

If Google can't backup the resources required for Code-Search, then who will ? Just googled to see if any other code search service is available. It listed one more result other than the Google Code Search. Will koders.com remain alive. It will probably be a single. Lets hope, there will be someone backing up Koders.

I tried to do the same. When G+ made the first ever public release of the G+ API, My first thought was to create a nice blog out of the G+ public posts.

But, it didn't go well as I felt it wouldn't be better to compromise with the limitations.

Nice and innovative concept. But it works mainly in cases where there are frequent commits with few branches and some considerable number of developers working on the same project.

HTML 5 is beautiful and portable. Someone deciding to go with HTML5 must be appreciated. However, it doesn't mean that the world of Flash has to be left behind from right now. The support to HTML5 by the modern browsers, is a major concern till now.

Flash hasn't died yet, and wont die for few more years, until the browsers come up with everything HTML5 and everyone starts to use the latest updated browsers.

Wonderful, Nice to see QBasic there. These days its easier to write for modern High Level languages, as they are easily installed and available everywhere. But the classic and beautiful languages are hard to find and even talked about.
