I've seen this exact UI style a dozen times now and it's always accompanied with tell-tale overly verbose, overly dramatic text.
Tip: identify PRs with this problem by looking for discrepancies between the metadata (files/lines affected) for PRs via GitHub API and associated commits in the time window.
This was a pain to clean up!

The 8% and 50% numbers are pretty concerning, but I’d add that was for the “computer use environment” which still seems to be an emerging use case. The coding environment is at a much more reassuring 0.0% (with extended thinking).

Eh, both myself and my partner did this. To be fair, we weren’t going in completely blind, and my partner hit a Legendary joker, but I think you might be slightly overstating the difficulty. I’m still impressed that Gemini did it.

I can, I’ve written a billing system before (unfortunately). There’s a lot of annoying math/edge cases and systems to sync between.
While I never implemented a restriction like this, it would have prevented a lot of weird bugs/customer support issues and kept the underlying code much simpler.

My experience from working in the security space is that all the tech is pretty un-sexy (with very good sales pitches), and none of it will save you from a nation-state attacker.

Designing fonts for languages that use Chinese characters is often challenging due to the sheer number of glyphs.

It’s true, but new characters are very “expensive”, even in the free currency. I have an embarrassing number of hours in league (4 digits) and do not have all the characters unlocked. Compare to Dota where I had every character unlocked at hour zero.
I’m glad to see a shift in sentiments from Germany about nuclear power [0]. There have been warnings about energy dependence on Russia for years [1], maybe not long enough to spin up more nuclear plants but certainly enough time to make good progress on them.

That’s funny, there’s actually been an intentional shift among “email thought leaders” towards shorter, plain-text emails because they can come across as more personal in today’s world of high-powered CRMs.
It’s not always easy to migrate identities, especially if your identity has built up reputation or trust in a community.

This is already a real issue with many existing public chatbots.
Take r/replika for example, they’re constantly getting posts from users who think their chatbot partner is real. It’s the first question in their FAQ.
