I'd love for them to build a case more impartially and drop the activist nature of the language they use.

The author doesn't seem to realize that a healthy margin has been built into the inference pricing. Once low cost open source inference providers get their hands on powerful frontier level models, there would be a severe margin compression for OpenAI and Anthropic.

Yeah it’s a slightly blurry line. What metric are you using? I’d say Seattle is way ahead of Minneapolis in terms of economic influence.

To put things in perspective, US is a massive country. All this news is coming from one tier 3 city. (Roughly speaking LA, NYC etc being tier 1. Seattle, Dallas etc being tier 2)

I've had Indian managers and never experienced this. You're probably extrapolating from a small sample size which may all be from same company / industry.

Not true. A certain segment of the population (early adopters) do not care about polish and these are the customers you're looking for. You really do not want to spend a long time polishing something that nobody cares about. This is the YC advice even today.

Fully connected neural networks are hierarchies of logistic regression nodes. Transformers are networks of SVM nodes. I guess we can expect networks of other kinds of classifiers in the future. Perhaps networks of Decision Tree nodes? Mix and match?
