I really have little idea what I am doing in this new field (for me) but doing stuff with my hands after AI feels sooo good. Would love to hear how I did this wrong (no, really... but be kind lol).
I've noticed using LLMs well feels less like typing faster and more like managing a junior engineer... so I thought I'd use my experience as an EM of 3 years to write this up.
I'd love to mount a top-down webcam above me when I work on electronics and have a real time feed into ChatGPT or similar for Q&A, for a real time coach that can see. One day... :)
At some point, the question has to be asked (and this is not directed at CodeEdit, but this prompted my question)... do we need another editor?
We have a very crowded editor market place. There seems(?) to be enough competition to drive innovation, and most(?) support plugins/extensions for devs to tailor to their needs (as opposed to swapping editors for a killer feature).
I also think there is a benefit to a team using the same editor for a project. This allows checking in of editor-specific files that increase productivity (We check in our .vscode folder with recommended extensions, on save actions, launch configs etc)
What do you think? Am I missing something here?
[Edit: To be clear, I'm personally not in the camp of "no more editors pleases", just was interested in seeing others thoughts here]

As someone new to React (~6 months full time) I'm keen to start reading this book soon and see how far off I've been in terms of coming up with best practices for myself. Like anything labelled "opinionated", I may disagree with some things, but anything I can read to make my code better, I will :)
For me, I joined twitter, followed all the authors I loved, and then my RSS reader became redundant. It wasn't deliberate, it wasn't terribly conscious. I got the same content, a whole lot more personality, and even some interactions and discussions with the author and other readers.
