I agree! Let’s come to terms with the ubiquity lesson of JavaScript and make a proper vm, that for now interplay’s with ubiquitous-JavaScript. But also will not leave out the evolution of other languages or software concerns at the language level. Let’s go down a layer and have a ubiquitous vm. I think the possibilities for this are huge. Before you say “ok but the jvm”, “history repeats” - I don’t think that argument is fair. the jvm was built at a very different time and has its own niche and it’s own bloat. Again, we’re transitioning from JavaScript first. Great things will follow.

Agreed. Nonsense tulip bulbs! I for one appreciate inflation and the fed printing money. Its for our own good. As with most if not all government entities they have the people’s best interest in mind and refuse to serve a small elite group of friends. I’ll be happy when this whole decentralized thingy ends and goes to zero.

The Stroad 5 years ago

I couldn’t agree more with the article. Unfortunately as for America I think people wouldn’t be very happy with turning their stroads into streets. There is a very toxic self centered car culture here; any impediment to it real or imaginary will make people very angry.

If you NEED the job and the leetcode quiz/exam/hoop-jumping is a HARD REQUIREMENT, then you may not have a choice. Tell them it seems a bit weird to run you through the gauntlet after specifically calling out your open sourced code, and maybe suggest an interview that will be more telling on how well you’ll be working together versus deciding “if you can code” (your project should already indicate that?) If they’re bothered seemingly or obviously and cannot take the feedback lightly or seriously then maybe that’s a good indication to consider other opportunities.

Don’t listen to all the middle managers on here telling you you should jump through hoops. This interaction now will set the precedence for the rest of your working relationship. I’d bring it up for a discussion with them.

What I don’t understand is that cryptocurrency is considered property. NOT A CURRENCY. So how could the reward of more property; via defi mechanisms like yield farming, be considered a security?
