Recently migrated my Zola website to Nuxt + Nuxt Content and was pretty pleased with it!
This is very interesting. I was surprised by how minimal the quickstart (https://modelcontextprotocol.io/quickstart) was, but a lot of details are hidden in this python package: https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/servers/tree/main/sr...
Mac mini is Apple’s first carbon neutral Mac
Hats off! I didn't expect the Mac to be next in line for the carbon neutral goals. But they did it!
I didn't see anything on the landing page that implied free software / open source.
What would be your most important conditions for agreeing to Apple acquiring Homebrew?
This is the most shocking part to me:
Apple has also made clear that if creators on Patreon […] disable transactions in the iOS app, we will be at risk of having the entire app removed from their App Store.
Absolutely astounding that removing transactions from the platform could result in being removed.
AI hypers be like "kitchen sponges are conscious"
Seems to be limited to Europe, or are other regions also affected?

Oh I missed this post, my search did not bring it up for some reason. My submission can be marked as a duplicate by an admin. (Or leave it up because I think the Bevy Foundation deserves some more attention ;) )
EDIT: The reason why my search did not bring it up was because I linked to the news item (and used that in my search), whereas cart linked to the foundation's page.
Here’s a better website (Dutch): https://nos.nl/l/2502459
Ah alright, that makes sense. Thanks!
The release notes mention that Homebrew 4.2.0 supports macOS Sonoma, but I’ve been using Homebrew on Sonoma just fine since public launch. What changed?
I didn't hear about PyPy before, but I think you're doing great work.
I would be interested in seeing benchmarks where PyPy is compared with more recent versions of CPython. https://www.pypy.org/ currently shows a comparison with CPython 3.7, but recent releases of CPython (3.11+) put a lot of effort into performance which is important to take into account.
The talk that this article is based on is available on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc3J4McebHE
I think the maintainer handled this really well. Hats off!
I'm curious as to how this 3-letter Twitter handle was heisted.
I would like to point out that the data in the table is from 2017, and CPython recently focused a lot on performance.
I can also recommend Obsidian's iOS app if you haven't tried it!
Definitive guide to [constantly evolving technology] is never a good idea for a title.
No problem! Cheers and thanks for making this. :)
It has something listed under my blog (https://www.hankruiger.com) that doesn’t seem to link to my blog (something about “Hiring advice for startups from Hackruiter (YC S10)”).
If available and interested, follow local courses like gardening or woodworking, and take initiative to meet up afterwards and share progress on the activity with them.
I created a new text post because the submission picked up the redirect.
This post can be removed.
Mozilla recently announced that they’re setting something up at mozilla.social involving the fediverse.
The fact that it uses Google authentication makes me wonder if they’re making a “social deal” with Google alongside the search deal they have.
I recently did the SwiftUI tutorials that had a chapter on macOS (from the context of adding macOS as a target alongside iOS). https://developer.apple.com/tutorials/swiftui
I expect SwiftUI to stay pretty high-level so don’t expect nitty gritty details. But Apple seems to be putting a lot of effort there so you might want to check it out.
Which Twittery features are you missing in Mastodon?
I was never online when the TestFlight invites were shared, but am very happy to try the app now!
Like it a lot so far. Familiar with the interface as I come from Tweetbot. I am glad to be able to support the developers who've unfortunately have to retire their bird app.
