When it was founded, the company was a clothing brand, before pivoting to ecommerce. Can't wait for that useless piece of shit "startup" to go out of business (after my friend finds a better job).

I agree. In my opinion, it's another manifestation of individualism promoted by the capitalist system in the US - in urban design, in this case. Another commenter pointed out how they only see their neighbour when they both walk to or from their car at the same time. It sounds sad to me, but some might prefer it that way.

General advice for spaced repetition is to make flashcards atomic i.e. as small as possible, as in the OP, but general advice for language learning is to always learn words in context instead of on it's own, for example in example sentences. Have you figured out a solution combining those two goals?

Maybe it was just in the German speaking world, but such projects were called "template" or "boilerplate" ~10 years ago. When did we start calling them libraries? It doesn't add any functionality as one might expect from a library, it 's just an opinionated change to the default CSS shipped by browsers. Not to say that this is a bad thing, I just disagree on the terminology.
